The purple color combo is quite a bit louder in person than online, but that's the only negative thing I have to say about these. So far I am so glad I bought these! These shoes are sturdy, supportive and well made. The tread is great, especially for slippery areas or if you're just accident prone like me. These seem like they'll hold up to a lot of wear, and they are far more comfortable and better for my feet than a name brand pair of shoes I bought for literally twice the price. No buyer's regret on these shoes!

I do not believe in breaking in shoes. For me, a shoe has to be comfortable from the get-go and if it is not, I should leave it because it will never get comfortable. This hiking boot is just perfect for me. Comfortable from the moment I started wearing it for walking my dogs in various outdoor settings (think woods, gravel, small rocks, but also grassy areas and just concrete). The only thing I changed was the insert. I wear orthotics for extra support. The hiking shoes look and feel sturdy and I am curious to see how well they will hold up to daily dog walk wear and tear.

These are well made and sturdy, or at least they appear to be. However they are not true to size, being a bit small by about a half size (US) so I can't really tell for sure. Because of this they're being returned and a slightly larger size will be tried.

I bought these for a 6 mile hike and had no time to break them in, just wore them the day of. They were very comfortable and no pain after the hike. I was very happy with them. I saw a few recommendations to size down, I am a 8.5 and I bought an 8, this worked well.

Needed a new hiking shoe. Pros: good grip on rocks with good foot protection. Cons: quite heavy. The heel is high. Had to wear knee socks. Would be too hot for summer hikes.
