Doesn't compare to the old

Lots of downgrades from the older version. We've had it a couple months and both the storage compartment covers have broken with just normal use. One snapped off and the floor brush holder won't stay latched. The floor peice is a lot smaller than the old version, which makes it take a bit longer to vacuum the hard floors. The carpet peice has some sort of feature to protect the motor (i assume) that shuts it off when it's suction is too much. It shuts off on the medium setting on my low pile carpet but if I use it on low the brush doesn't spin so it misses a lot of dirt. Nothing is made with great quality anymore. Overall its still better than most vacuums. I just wish I could buy the old version again.

I like how much lighter than my old Kenmore vacuum this is, which we bought to replace the one that finally died after 15 years. I wish the handle to drag it around was on the top rather than the bottom of the canister, it would be more convenient, since I try not to drag it by the hose. It works really well on my old worn carpet and somewhat refreshes the look as it fluffs it up a bit. It is annoying to have to drag it around, but the handheld section with the rotating brush glides really nicely across the floor as you push it easily. That part doesn't work so well on bare floors or linoleum, so it's necessary to switch out to the bare floor attachment to get it to work properly, and it's pretty impossible to use on carpeted stairs, so I still need a separate stick vacuum for those. Overall, pretty happy with the new model.

I was a housekeeper for years this is the best vacuum I have ever used.. I has bags, I did not like pouring out the dust cup, it went all over. Most of those stopped suction after several uses this one does not. No dust blows into the air while vacuuming. This vacuum is a must with people with allergies. The price is also great!

I didn't want a vacuum that had no bags. No dust cloud for me!! So, I decided to go back to my tried and trusted brand Kenmore. And every Kenmore I've ever owned has been awesome this vacuum is no exception. I love it. No complaints. A bit heavy and cumbersome but that doesn't stop me from using it on the spot! It's easy to use and it gets the job done and the suction is fantastic. It comes with all the bells and whistles, and I honestly can't find a thing wrong with it. I love it. Solved all my problems. I love Kenmore. Well done.

I only have a few area rugs and the vacuum works fine on those. The rest of my house is tile but I haven't tried the vacuum on those, yet. My one complaint so far is that the vacuum doesn't have a handle to carry it around the the house. You have to drag it or pick it up with both hands.
