I do not know the long term performance of this material but I bet it is great. Easy to cut, very strong adhesion. sound deadening is better than I expected. I used less than half the sheets you get for a very low price. There are many options but this is perfect for my sink project.

We recently purchased Canopus Car Sound Deadening Mat
My husband installed it inside all four doors of his Prius last weekend. It installed very easily and really stays put when you adhere it to the frame. It was easy for him to cut and work around all the screwholes and wiring in the door. We took it for a test drive and it makes a huge difference. It was easier to talk to each other and considerably cut down on road noise. The stock doors on a Prius sound very flimsy when you shut them and with the new sound deadening mat, the doors sound much more solid now. The product went further than we thought it would but we plan on purchasing more so he can install it in the floor of the car. We think that will make an even bigger impact in reducing road noise.

I was a little hesitant to but it at first but seeing the positive reviews outweighed the negative ones, I pulled the trigger. The product arrived earlier than I expected and I am very thankful for that as I installed it together with the separates that I ordered for my front doors. Installation is not that hard especially if you use a roller. But one thing you really have to do is to clean the surface area where you are going to stick it with. So after installation of both the canopus sound deadening mat and the 6.5 separates speakers, I can't believe the clarity of the meds and tweets produced without resonance from the door panel.
