So, I had a 1972 kitchen in a log cabin that I grew up in and just moved back to a few years ago. Everything was orange- the counters, floor, and cabinets (stained pine board). I really wanted an update but can't afford one and my cabinets were custom built around the logs. I decided to give this countertop paint a try. The reviews were good and although I'm artistic I'm was nervous about my sponge painting abilities, but I'm honestly blown away with the results. We used a degreaser cleaner on the counters, made sure it was all dry and then applied the black base paint (took about two hours). It's thick and important to not roll over previous sections because it will leave lines (doesn't really matter depending on how much sponge painting you do) the next day I started the sponge painting. I did the black granite so I didn't really need to wait for the colors to dry in between. I did the silver, went back over with black, added a little bronze and some green from my cabinets and then toned it back down with the black again. I let dry for 4 hours (fixed some spots I didn't like) and then added the sparkly top coat. The top coat is the only reason I don't give it 5 stars (also because I don't know how durable this will be). You have to be very careful when applying the top coat because if you arent smooth and consistent you will get steaks that you can see once it's dry. I have a few spots and thanks to the dark color it isn't super noticeable but worth mentioning. The colors look different in every light and I love the shine and sparkle of it. It doesn't look like granite, but if you take your time with the sponge painting it will look very nice.
Before and After…Surprisingly Beautiful

After having done a tedious DIY renovation on my kitchen, the one thing that was missing was granite countertops. I couldn't afford actual granite; however, after doing some research, I found that Giani was an affordable and beautiful alternative. They came out amazingly well. People were in awe and blown away as they could not believe they weren't actual granite countertops. I read several reviews, good and bad, but one thing I realize is you have to read and read and read some more to get a thorough understanding of what the process is all about. If you are not willing to wait between processes, then perhaps this is not for you to embark upon. It takes patience, and then more patience. Also, after the final step was done, I put signs on the wall that read "Look, but do not touch," because as Giani states in the description, it has to cure. Yes, there is a curing (hardening) process ... 24 hours"¦, three days"¦, and then 14 days for the countertops to be fully cured. Take your time and your time invested will pay off! Don't hesitate, do it! Thank you.

So firstly I can't attest for the durability of this product yet as I've just applied it & am still in the curing process, be that as it may ik already thrilled with the look of it.
If you look at others photos I was especially hesitant about doing step 2 (applying the bronze, white and black) so I just went with the black primer & top coats & it really made a huge difference compared to my old counter.
For the price I'm not sure this can be beat for how much better my counter looks already.
Pictures don't do justice because of glare etc but the black looks great & the glittery top coat really makes it shine & sparkle just enough.
Make sure to do proper prepping as mine as a couple blemishes but even then I'm very satisfied with how it looks.
Did the job!

This was a very easy and simple task! Something I got done in a day!!! I blended out the sponge look as I didn't want it to look like splotches and I love how it turned out. Only thing I wasn't liking was the top coat. I was looking for something a little shinier. BUTTTT that is minor and still am in love with it!! Much better than my ugly brown ones I had before
