I first saw this product being used by a neighbor at his weekend cabin. He offered to let me give it a try after I commented on how efficient the device split wood. I was amazed at how quickly it split wood and quickly bought one for my cabin. It's great for splitting small to medium sized pieces of wood effortlessly. As noted in other reviews, wood with knots aren't as easy to spit and should be avoided. Bottom line, I love this device and see plenty of wood being split with this in the future.

Works well for splitting smaller logs, can split multiple times to make kindling. Very solid, my son wailed on the logs with a 3 lb sledge. Split plenty of logs, don't put anything too large in there or you'll be pounding on the other side to get it out. Works much better than a splitting wedge, way better. Definitely recommend. Not cheap but it is solid and should last

Pretty stable on flat ground, sturdy iron build. It truly makes itso easy to split a small/ medium round log in two, jusy using the small hammer recommended. It works! I was able to split small/medium log cuts, from my two trees that were taken down, like there was nothing to it! I had a lot of wood to split, and this made the task actually enjoyable! I hope to find one of these for the larger round size logs. Worth it.
