Level The Build Plate
Tim Barger✓ Verified PurchaseOctober 12, 2023
This is my 2nd 3D printer and so far the Voxelab Aquila C 2 is in my opion a little bit better than my first Voxelab Aquila.
The display screen on the C 2 is better and easier to navigate through. I use Cura for my slicing software and I kept the same settings accept I had to tweek my retraction speed and distance. Overall it prints just as good if not better than the regular Aquila.
The most important thing you can do, is to make sure your build plate is level. Take your time and level it. It doesn't matter what 3D printer you have, if the build plate is not level you will never get your print to stick. There are many videos on YouTube that show you how to do this. Find Youtube videos for Voxelab Aquila by 3D SOS. He does a fantastic job on teaching what you need to know about getting started with your first print.

The only cons so far about the Aquila C2 at this point is:
1. The stepper motors are noisy.
2. You will want to replace the stock extruder cooling fans with brushless ones.
3. It has the (dreaded H 2 chip and not the G or N 32 chip) which doesn't bother me since I am happy with LCD display and not interested in customizing it like some others do.

Overall, I am very happy with the Aquila C 2 printer and it comes at a great price of $169.00 from Amazon. For a low cost printer it does a fantastic job.
Great printer, hands down

I bought two Aquila X2's after seeing a lot of positive reviews from 3D printing communities. I run a small print farm and needed some extra capacity without spending a lot of money. I have 4 other printers - one of which cost several thousands of dollars - and I have to say the Aquila X2 produces some great prints that rival my industrial-grade machine. I bought these to print PLA and PETG exclusively so my experience so far is with those two materials but I have been running both of my X2's for 18 to 20 hours every day and haven't had any issues with finished parts yet. What I print needs to be dimensionally accurate to 1/10 of a millimeter and I can get that every time from my X2's. I will say that my biggest gripe is with leveling the bed - all of my other printers will at least assist in moving the print head to specific points on the build plate to make the necessary adjustments but the X2 is a little more involved by having to manually move the print head across the build surface. Not a huge issue since it's a relatively small build plate and I've only had to make very minor tweaks since I got them dialed in the first time. The out-of-box experience was a lot more hands-on that my other printers with having to assemble the printer but the instructions were easy to follow and the whole process only took a half hour per printer. If these printers keep performing this well, I'm certainly going to pick up at least a couple more to add to my farm.
After a lot of hassle good printer

Amazon damaged my original printer during shipping so finally received one almost a week late. After setting up and using I can say its a pretty decent printer. Had to tweak a few settings but works good so far with overture pla ive had no issues with the printer itself so far I do with the screw that adjusts the y axis had some lubricant of some sort to come with it its pretty sqeaky but nothing some lubricant wont fix overall so far so good and great features for the price. Ill try to update the review once my bltouch comes in
Perfect first time 3D printer for anyone wanting to venture into 3D printing, and get the X2 model!

What is the number one reason to get this printer? Well, there are actually 3 great reasons!

1. Great price for fully functional printer right out of the box (just need to level bed first)
2. Excellent print results (no matter how many features, the quality of the printed object is most important)
3. Thorough step-by-step how-to guides online for this printer (more on this in a bit)

The X2 model addresses the very few issues with the original model. I think there are many "under the hood" upgrades on the X2, but the obvious ones are -

- inclusion of a filament run-out sensor (will pause the print job until you refill the filament) which can be a life saver should filament run out after many hours of printing

- improved extruder mechanism

- metal carry handle on top of printer

- vertical mount of control panel, a more compact fit and more along the lines of the Ender 3 V2 series, but closer in to provide an even smaller overall footprint.

I did over a weeks worth of intense research on buying my first 3D printer, the Prusa i3 was recommended by many, but it is expensive (almost 5 times the price of the Aquila X2) and an even bigger issue was the lead time on shipping, several weeks or more at best, I was anxious to get started. Another benefit of this printer, the stepper motors are essentially silent, the only noise comes from the spinning fan on the print housing, and although it is a bit high pitched, the noise level drops off dramatically as you inch away from the printer.

I highly recommend you do a search on Youtube for Voxelab Aquila X2, you will find a video comparing it to the original Voxelab Aquila, once you find it (clue: you are sending out an SOS), check out the other videos there. You will find a step-by-step tutorial on bed leveling (one of the best in my opinion) and so many more on both the original Aquila and the newer X2 model.

When my printer arrived, I had it assembled in no time, followed the bed leveling tutorial, loaded the sample of filament and proceed to print the test model on the included microSD card, it turned out perfect (image attached)

So encouraging to have success the first time.

I can't say enough about this printer, just "BUY IT" , you won't be sorry!
Buena maquina
