I expect a certain percentage of electrics to fail so I usually don't write bad reviews - I just get a replacement. My Coda 46 went about 1 week and then lost the internet connection. The flyer that came with the modem said to check the support page before returning so I did that, but there was nothing that would help with my situation - I had internet if plugged directly into modem, but not at my ORBI mess router.

There is an online chat button so I though great, I'll chat with someone, but the button doesn't function and I see no number to call. After 3 hours with Xfinity, I reinstalled my old, slower, Arris modem, they activated it and walla, everthing is back, including my WiFi.

Bottom line, I returned the modem and will order an Arris S33.

Edit: I received my Arris S33, conected and activated it and had the same problem - I had internet to my hardwired computer, but not my router. Arris provides a technical support number in the package so I called it and was talking to a humna within 30 seconds. Like the Hitron Coda 46, the Arris has two ethernet ports. It turns out, you cannot used both ethernet port simutaneously unless your internet provider proportions two ip address (I thought the modem had a built-in switch). Anyway, I unplugged my computer from the modem and everything came back into life. I did a bit of googling and I believe the Hitron modems are the same way.

I'm raising my review to 4 stars, but not 5 as I haven't found a Hitron tech support line, but I am quite sure the modem I returned was fully functional and not broken.

2 min setup. 10 min on the phone with ISP. Saving $20/month. Should have bought this sooner.

This modem solved my issues with Xfinity deciding to drop my internet connection randomly after they decided to stop support for docsis 3.0. I plugged it in, used the Xfinity app to activate it and everything functioned great. I'm glad I read some reviews because without thinking I plugged in my router to one of the ports and then a PS3 to the other port and my WiFi went down and I was confused - then I remembered I read in a review that unless your ISP allows for you to have a different IP for the second port that it will stop your WiFi from working, which I don't know if Xfinity does or not - it wasn't worth it for me to investigate. Once I unplugged the PS3 and power cycled my router everything was back to normal, easy peasy. With my previous modem the speeds that I was getting at the router were approximately 180 Mbps (often much, much less) and now that's nearly doubled to 330 Mbps - talk about a giant improvement! I am so satisfied with this modem and have had no real issues. This was a great find for the price, and I didn't have to succumb to renting a modem from Xfinity, win/win!

was able to get it activated with my cable ISP but there's no web based management interface where you would be able to check connection stats. this is a step backwards for me as I prefer to do my troubleshooting before wasting my time on the phone with technical support at my ISP.

We were hesitant because some reviews indicated not compatible with Zito Media. Received modem plugged in, called Zito and gave them new modem info and we were up and running within minutes.
