Fast and simple, but Slicer is not optimal
ImYaBoiTravi✓ Verified Purchase•August 28, 2023
When I got this printer, I was shocked at how quickly I was able to get it set up, leveled, and printing. Truly a mighty and speedy machine! However the recommended slicer tends to leave nasty seams and stringy final prints depending on your model. In most other systems I have been able to adjust their settings or set randomized start points to avoid this, but I am struggling to get this slicer to do the same. Other than that, great machine!
Works well and simple to use.

Very nice little printer. Took off 1 star only because finding settings on the small LCD menu isn't very intuitive. (VS a previous printer I'd owned). Printing great with PETG using the 265° hot end after a few evenings of fiddling with settings (normal) and I like the LED illumination of the part while printing. Flashprint software now has Z offset and is nicely done. Bought here at a discount ($50) and I feel like I got a bargain. Also quiet and the simple magnetic latch on the door is a great idea. Attractive unit and seems well-built. Just be advised that the build volume is rather small and 1Kg spools have to be used outside of the box as they won't fit. Not issues for me. Would recommend!
Awesome results after screen replacement!!!

The unit I received is completely unusable due to it's screen being blank and unresponsive even after updating it's firmware.
**UPDATE** After contacting customer service on their main site, I received a very fast follow-up and a replacement screen arrived 1 week later. It was fairly easy to replace by following a tutorial video, and the screen works as expected now. I am leaving at 3 stars for now, because I have not had a chance to test the actual printing capabilities of the printer yet. I will make another update once I have tested more.
**FINAL UPDATE** After several large prints, I am very impressed with the simplicity and quality of this printer. I think it is a great option for beginners, and has overall been awesome to use! My only complaint is that sometimes thin supports fail to print properly and some of the overhangs can lose some detail as a result, but from what I've read this is a common problem that kind of comes with the territory of 3d printing. Overall very happy with the product! Great quality and ease of use, combined with excellent customer service.

Beautiful Machine for Brand-New Makers

This machine is wonderful. I first bought an Ender 3 V2 and could not get it level for the life of me. I even customized it, tried auto-leveling attachments, and did everything I could before I gave up on that machine. This Adventurer 3 Pro was a night and day difference!
It's so user-friendly, everything worked immediately, and even when I've had to troubleshoot bad prints or PLA issues, nothing has been too hard to figure out. The feeling of accomplishment is guaranteed with this machine.
My only disappointment with this specific model is the smaller build plate. I run into that limitation fairly often, but didn't have the money to spend on the Adventurer 4. Still, I highly recommend this product. There are so many pros to consider over most other machines: the enclosure, the easily swappable nozzles, and the glass build plate (Pro only) too name a few.
I do wish this machine was a little quieter (although it is fairly quiet), but like I said, I would recommend this machine to anyone as their first printer and the Adventurer 4 over this one if you have the money. The major differences that are beneficial of the 4 are the larger build plate and spool holder; that's about it.
The software is extremely user friendly as well. With a Beginner Mode that gets you printing in only a couple of clicks, to the Expert Mode that has tool tips about every setting so that you can learn what each setting does for your prints, it's a beginner's appropriate ramp for diving into 3D printing. I can't say enough how much I appreciate this machine!

Excellent out of the box printer

About a week after I bought this, the Bowden tube collet failed during a print. It took a little research and asking around to determine the proper size replacement, but once I replaced it with the correct size on Amazon, it works okay now. I think my primary gripe is the proprietary nature of the machine. The side spool compartment only fits 1/2 kilo spools, and the ones at Flash-Forge are $34 each. I tried to print out an extension arm for a 1-kilo spool, but the tension created by the narrow room and tight turn may have contributed to the failed collet. In order to have a proper stress relief for the spool feed, the 1kg spool should be sitting on the desk and facing the machine, not tucked in alongside. There are a few mods on the net that alter the compartment and/or door to allow a 1kg spool to fit, so YMMV.
The good: As I said, the printer works very well for a plug and play machine. The consensus is that the collet is rather cheap and prone to failure, so have some PC4-M6 spares ready for when it quits.
