After tons of reviews on what wifi modem to replace the one I been renting from Xfinity. I ended up with this one, a "renewed" Netgear Nighthawk cax30. And, I'm glad I did. I'm finally getting the speeds I have been paying for all this time. Ive had no dropped internet and no having to reset the modem.... so far. The only downside I can see is the lack of an instruction booklet.(everything else in the plain brown box seemed sealed and like new) The instructions can be found at Netgear online. Or even better... here are the steps to setting it up, if you use Xfinity. Unplug the old modem and its coaxial cable. Screw coaxial cable into the new (renewed😀) Nighthawk and plug in power. Now, download Netgear "Nighthawk app" and follow the setup product.(enter the product # and password located on the side & bottom of modem) Open(download) the Xfinity app and scroll down to the bottom "activate new equipment" (you will have to enter the Mac number printed on the bottom of the modem) After finishing setting up on the Xfinity app then go back to finishing up the Nighthawk app.(change network name and password to your previous network name so all of your wifi devices automatically connect to your new modem/router) Some devices may need to be reset to find your new modem/router signal. Hint- use the "5g over the 2.4" for the faster wifi speed. So far has been a great purchase and from what I have learned, don't let a renewed or refurbished item worry you... it just means that item has been double checked to work properly.(atleast it should have been, in theory😄)

Was easy to set up. No longer paying ISP for Router Modem rental. Will pay for itself.

I have spectrum 500Mbs internet with my old modem router netgear n600 c3700 was getting 100Mbs 5ghz Wi-Fi and 140Mbs wired. With the nighthawk cax30 ax6 avg 490Mbs 2.4 ghz Wi-Fi and 500Mbs wired. My ping went from 30-40 to 17. Tested it before upgrading to Gb internet.

Easy to install app and easy to follow install instructions. Runs great. Can already tell the difference in speeds from my phones and PlayStation
