Let me start by saying I have TWO of these "suckers" because they are that awesome and my 4 yro cut the cord to the first one (I had it fixed so now I have two). I have used the Miele brand, the Dysons, and Sharks and this German wonder has beat out all of them. The R2D2 design makes it fun for kids to vacuum as well. Buy a box of bags when you buy the machine, it takes awhile to fill up but you never want to be without.
I have a poodle/wolfhound mix and 3 girls (who also shed) and this machine makes it look like no one lives in the house except bald ppl. Worth it, 10/10!

While I haven't done a particle counter from the exhaust to see if particulate of small variety truly is captured well by the exhaust ULPA, overall I would say I am very impressed with this vacuum. Love that it is a HEPA and bagged, which is particularly important for people with mold illness and removing fine particulate from the environment. We have almost all hard surface floors and the vacuum head is perfect for this function. I love how it is flat and the arm swivels to a very low profile on the floor so it is easy to get under furniture. Much easier than my Dyson V11 has been in that respect. This vacuum is well-made and good quality. Hope to get many years of use from it!

The roller does not slide out to clean, making it a real chore to cut off fur build up.

I was excited when this vacumm arrived as the motor on my Dyson upright had to be replaced and I was without a vacumm for more than a week. I have one ragdoll cat (long fur) and his fur built up so quickly on the roller that I had to manually cut it off and pull it out TWICE during vacumming the upstairs of our house. We have wall to wall carpeting and, although I'm thrilled with the suction power of the machine and that it picked up all that fur, I wish it had a removable roller like my Dyson, which would make it much easier to clean. Overall I love this but I'm getting another Ragdoll so there'll be even more fur to deal with on the roller. I'll use it again before deciding whether to keep it or send it back.
