This litter box robot was cool. Very easy to assemble. This is a great product, but I had two flaws on my side- the app to download with the kitty litter box you cannot have higher than 2.4.GHz Wi-Fi, also my nine-month-old cat was somewhat intimidated by the spaceship. all around an excellent product. Glad I was able to get a refund maybe in the future I will get one again.

There are a few weird flaws that maybe were fixed with the 4, not sure. Don't get me wrong you need this in your life it's pretty awesome but some design flaws. My biggest issue with it is when you do the empty cycle. At first I'm like oh wow this is amazing, when it's time to completely get rid of all the old litter and put in new there is a button that turns the globe upside down and dumps all of the litter into the bin. EXCEPT for about a cup worth that gets trapped under this plastic screen lip thing. At first I thought it must have been assembled wrong however when I reached out to customer service they told me nope that's totally normal. You have to remove the whole globe from the base to dump the rest out. WHY??!!! So dumb! That's it, other than that this thing is crazy expensive and it took me about a month to get one of my cats to get in it but it's still worth it. Also just a tip on litter. I did a lot of research and decide to try out 3 highly recommended options. Pretty Litter - very low dust and tracking but doesn't mix well and a lot of the wet crystals end up dumped in the bin which wouldn't be a huge deal except I think it really adds to the smell factor, after 3 days it's totally stinky. Ever Clean - seems to be a big fan fave and definitely great for odor control but dusty, tracks too much, and some clumps of wet clay stick to the inside of the globe. Dr. Elsey's Ultra - For me this is the winner and funny enough is the cheapest. Low dust and tracking and pretty good odor control.

This product is expensive, but if you're like me, and tired of scooping cat litter every day, it's well worth it.

I've had mine for a year and a half now. The cat never had any issues adjusting- I just replaced his old litter box with the robot, and he started using it immediately.

The box that holds the droppings fills up somewhat quickly- I usually replace the lining once a week, but replacing the lining takes about 5 minutes, so that's a million times easier than trying to scoop through every bit of litter every day, plus it uses way less cat litter than a regular box.

Overall, the product has been exceptionally reliable. The only real issue I had was when the blue light at the bottom would continuously blink every time the cat would use it. The blinking light indicates the drawer is full, but I had just put in a new lining.

I easily found some videos online about troubleshooting recommendations for people who had had the same issue, but after going through them, the issue wasn't resolved.

I called the company and they had great customer service. I was walked through even more troubleshooting (such as cleaning the sensors with rubbing alcohol), and it resolved the issue.

I can't recommend this enough for cat owners that can afford it, and are tired of having to scoop litter every day.

This is a cool device. It's nice to not have to scoop litter. However, it doesn't work exactly the way it says it should. For the most part it cycles when it's supposed to, which is the important part to me. The reset button on the panel does absolutely nothing. It's supposed to reset the fullness meter of the waste back to 0% after you change it out and hit reset. It never does. I always have to manually reset it via the app. It always gives me a pop-up message that says, "Are you sure you want to reset? The litter robot will automatically reset on the first clean cycle after you've changed the waste liner and pressed the reset button". I've tried so many times to let it do its thing, but unfortunately it just won't. So that's annoying, but honestly it's still better than scooping litter. Sometimes it randomly changes the fullness meter after it says it's full. I'll get a notification that the drawer is full and the robot will no longer automatically cycle. Then it will randomly set the fullness meter to something like 34% and keep going. So, like I said...mind of its own. But still better than scooping litter.

I have been scooping cat litter for 50+ years and finally gifted myself the litter robot. Well designed, quiet, effective, efficient and most of all no odor - at all. About a year ago I transitioned to a pellet system with absorbent liners to avoid having to scoop stuck to the bottom urine clumps. While that system did eliminate that problem, it was a poor solution for dealing with feces. The idea is that the pellets would dehydrate the poop and it would be easier to scoop. Nah. . .and the smell was awful, all the time. Our cats always preferred clumping litter to the pellets which is what made the transition super easy for my two beautiful boys. Since they both preferred the sandy litter, all I had to do was place the litter robot next to their pellet box - voila! One day and the pellet box is gone and both cats love their new box. It is pricy but, in my opinion, worth every penny.
