I have an old cat that is matted pretty bad. This wonderful tool is fantastic. I got her neck and pretty much her back. Next the butt and belly. Needless to say, it won't be easy. But seriously, this tool makes it much easier. You can hold a big clump of the hair up and scrape (pull down with the tool) down on the matted clump. It loosen some the hair making it easy to cut the mess. Her skin is loose and thin. I can't take her the groomers and we have no mobil groomers. So, you can understand how much I love this thing. Thanks tons. ;)

The house we are renting has this weird long multicolored carpet that loves to hang onto EVERYTHING. We've tried vacuuming up the cat/dog hair and you can still visibly see it. I was super skeptical about this but was at my wits end. After the first use I was IN LOVE. The stairs in this house have never looked cleaner! I was able to vacuum, rake up the layer of cat and dog hair, then vacuum again. The amount of hair this was able to take up was unbelievable. Best part, my 11 year old thinks it's fun to do so she happily does the raking for me.

WOW! Amazing in the house and car! Here is a better situation in my house and my truck:
I have a 2 year old Golden Retriever that is brushed once or twice a week. He sheds but not too much because he has a healthy coat. But I don't like to see dog hair in my house or cars. I also have wood floors throughout my home with area rugs in the living spaces. So I have an iRobot Roomba i9 that vacuums every night. I also use a Dyson Animal twice a week on the stairs, rugs, and furniture as well as the areas the Roomba can't get. Every other week, I have housekeepers that come in and mop floors and vacuum. I work really hard to ensure my home is clean. I gave this little guy a try on my living room rug and the photo is a 4 foot x 4 foot area after using this tool in all 4 directions. I'm thoroughly pleased with this product and also disgusted with the reality of cleanliness in my home. I will be ordering the XL version and using it on a regular basis.
As for my truck, I go to the car wash weekly and it's detailed every 3 months or so. However, my pup is my "˜Road Dog' and he's in the back seat daily and even on road trips every few weeks. Dog hair is a struggle in my Ford F150's black carpet. So I bought this little guy to help out. WOW! I'll be keeping this tool in my truck and using it after the car wash trips.
This is not a replacement for lint rollers but this will be taking on a new role in my life.

Amazing! I can actually sit on my rug now! It is small so depending on the size of your rugs be prepared to make an afternoon out of it. I had no issues with the tool snagging the rug but I could see that happening on plush rugs. I dropped one star because I think it's pricey for what it is.

I bought this pet hair removing tool 6 months ago. Straight out of the package, the metal material on the end of the tool seemed sharp. I delicately used it on my couch but was concerned that it would snag and damage the fabric. Put it in a drawer for about a month.
Needed to clean my carpeted steps, so I figured what the heck, I'm not going to drag my vacuum cleaner up and down the stairs. So, got in the drawer took out this pet hair removing tool and went to work on my carpeted steps. It worked great! I continue to use it on the steps for the next 4 months. Then, one day I got bold enough to use it on the couch again. It worked great on the couch! I realized that by using it on the steps enough times it had taken the sharpness out of the metal material on the tool. I even use it on a wool rug I have. And, it still works great for pet hair removal on the carpeted steps.
