Does it's job and does it well. We use water so much, and have 2 water heaters so it's hard to tell how much it saves. It's also nice to have the hot water reserve if there's a power outage.

The media could not be loaded. One month in, super impressed. I usually wait to review electronics until they've had a little life. Chronic problem on here with reviewing too early.

Came home from Europe to a bad gas leak under my garage slab. Rather than jack hammer my concrete floor up or run a new gas line to keep the fracking industry alive, we elected to convert the whole house to electric. We have solar and we're still in the black during daylight hours with this unit, even in winter.

I ran a dedicated 8g 220 circuit breaker to the box, had a plumber do the install. I was a little nervous about moving from a 50 gal gas Rheem to a skinny 40 gal electric with a family of four but we have not run out of hot water yet, even with a bath and immediate shower after. This thing keeps up very well.

They sent a damaged one first and it was easy to order the replacement, while an absolute nightmare to get UPS to take back the one they slammed around. Something about the packaging (which was damaged when they delivered).

2nd one is flawless and works great. No one has reviewed this thing yet. So I guess I'm the first. As of a month in, I highly recommend.

It was professionally installed about a week ago and has been fantastic so far. Even immediately after a shower, the water heater is super silent. Ever since it first filled with water, it has not made a sound.

Obviously it is too soon to provide any information about its longevity, maintenance, or cost savings. In fact, I am not expecting any significant cost savings and that is not why I purchased this unit. The age and performance of the existing 50 gallon water heater tank is what prompted the purchase.

My goal was to get something outside the big 3 brands of water heaters, and the timing was fortunate for this product new to the market. From what I learned talking directly with Bosch leading up to the release, is that this water heater line was specially commissioned by Amazon and requested of Bosch to be designed & manufactured and is an exclusive offering from Amazon only.

I paired my heater with a Grundfos recirculation pump and can now get hot water at any faucet in the house in 5 seconds or less!! The previous wait was 26 seconds at the fastest and almost 60 seconds at the longest.

After proudly buying a Bradford White American water heater that broke THREE TIMES within 4 years and had to be replaced with a limited warranty at my own expense each time with the company not standing behind their product, knowing the inside shatters and leaks...and the last time, it would have cost me the amount of buying a new one... so I decided to go German with my appliances.

I got this 40 gallon TALL version (to save a little room) about 8 months ago...so far, so good. No regrets.
I had it professionally installed...all has gone well.

America, if you want us to buy American, give us something that holds up.
