I had been putting up with the hideous "greige" tiles, sink, and fiberglass shower enclosure ever since we bought our house. After loads of research, I decided to try DWIL tub and tile paint. I don't have a fan in my bathroom, and everything I read about all the alternatives out there (including the one that gets the most hype: rustolem's tub refinishing paint) were epoxy based, and you had to have major respirator masks to use safely. When I found DWIL, I thought it might be too good to be true, so I decided to try it on the sink first and see how it went, and then decide if I'd do the tile, the floor, and the shower enclosure.
Well, not only did it work, but it was almost easy. I mean, sure, I had to take time to tape everything off, and clean things well, but "¦ that stuff is amazing. It took more coats than I expected to not see a little of the greige showing through, but the paint dried so quickly, I was able to go over areas with show-through within an hour of doing a coat. And if I dribbled paint on the floor (which I did a couple times), a wet rag would bring that up easily if it was still wet, or it would scrape off with a scrape razor. No problem.)
The sink came out so well, I did the walls and floor and the shower enclosure. My entire bathroom looks completely different. I wound up redoing the ancient 80s wall tiles in the other full and half bath in the house.
The shower enclosure took a lot longer, and a lot more coats were needed (I think I did 5), but again, it's fast applying and drying, so it wasn't that bad.
I recommend buying better rollers - the ones that come in the kit aren't great, but the paint brush that comes with it is fine. The hardening liquid that comes in the kit isn't in a great container; I immediately transferred it to a small glass jar and would put the paint into a plastic paint jug so I could do smaller sections instead of prepping the whole can at once. (It's possible to use the paint you've pre-prepped hours after without it hardening: just cover it tightly - the paint brush and roller too - with plastic wrap.)
After the DWIL had fully cured, I painted the shower and sink with two coats of polycrylic to give it a bit more shine, but it's not necessary. The walls and floor didn't get the polycrylic addition, and they look fabulous too.
We're not planning to sell our house any time soon, but I know the investment of time and energy I made in refreshing our bathrooms with the help of DWIL paint will pay off big-time. They look modern and clean, instead of dull, old, and greige. A (relatively) easy and definitely affordable DIY project that anyone can do.

We used this product to paint the tile floor in our bathroom. We ordered the white paint, and it took around three coats to get the right coverage. However it was easy to use and dried surprisingly quick - although we followed the directions and stayed off of it for the allotted time. Overall we are happy - and this is more affordable than buying new floors for us.
Great for DIY and saving

I purchased a home with a yellow tub, very ugly looking. I had already spent a lot of money so I decided to do it myself and searched on Amazon after seeing videos on YouTube. This swas the best option for me. I required 2 to get the tub to my preferred amount of coatings and coverage. Make sure to purchase the clear coat as well as you will need it to make cleaning tub a breeze. Keep in mind takes few hours to dry and repaint as well as few days to completely dry and be able to then use shower/tub. I recommend this product and would repurchase in the future as I don't see the need anymore to get a new tub this completely hid the ugly yellow color. Seller was amazing in responding. I appreciate their assistance.
Awesome!!

OMG....I am super pleased with the outcome. Renovating the bathroom estimated in the thousands so I wanted to try and salvage what I already had. I'm so happy I chose to go this route. It was easy to use and apply. I used 3 coats to knock out the imperfections and still had coating left. I purchased the double coating because I revived the sink, tub, and shower wall. I would recommend this if you're thinking about DYI.
Amazing ! YOU HAVE TO GET THIS! NO ODOR

Product was amazing! Couldn't believe absolutely zero and I mean zero odor. This dries great and while I needed a few coats (3) it was worth every penny take your time tape things off oh and don't rely on the tape they give you in the kit it's terrible. Use gloves like disposable ones and really take your time I use an exacto knife to cut in around items as needed - painted towel holder and toilet paper holder all in black. The walls took three coats of white paint. (I used several kits of black, white and grey which is more like a beige/grey but very nice color)
The floor is the gray paint with some stickers for floors ..this stuff is durable! The accent tile all around the room is faux/ peel and stick and I had to readjust it at least four or five times just two days after the paint had dried and guess what no issues the paint stayed on solid and there was no problem with me reapplying and readjusting the stickers .
Everything in the photo came from Amazon (except the wallpaper) .
Complete bathroom renovation for under $1,000! And best part no contractors, no mess ,no dust-PERFECT!
Will be using again for my other 3 bathrooms - won't be doing tubs or showers in those- just walls and floor tile but based on how well this held up I may try a tub.
Be sure to use a simple green degreaser and make sure tile is dry after you do . Pay attention you have to use within 12 hours of mixing. Also I know others mention cutting in for grout lines but I had no issue and just used the roller they provided.
Good luck this stuff is a miracle in a jar (pricey but worth it).
