These Gigaset phones are well made, I accidently dropped one and it still works fine. It has good sound quality and easy to set up. I have 2 suggestions to the company. 1) Make a Youtube video or instruction manual that shows you how to setup basic functions. Example: How to use answering machine (retrieve/delete/record). Basic Functions.
2) It was disappointing that these phones do not make vocal announcements of incoming calls. Most phones today have that feature.. I just downloaded the manual which has a lot more information, that should be available easier..

Overall very happy with the phone. Sound quality is good from all 3 head sets, which is the main problem I was looking to solve but sounds better if volume setting is set 1 below max level. Last set I bought from different manufacturer had 3 out of 5 headsets with good sound quality brand new. I like the look and how the Gigaset phone fits in my hand. You have to go through a screen to get to volume control which is why I put 3 stars. Guess I am just used to pushing a button on the handset up and down to control the volume, which other manufacturers have. Yes, you have to download the instructions for any real detail about the phone, but it is simple by both typing in the web address or using your cell phone camera of the data matrix to go directly to the website. Made in Germany is a plus in my opinion. 5 star rating because it is exactly what I expected for a phone set in this price range and the sound quality if better than my past phone sets.

Update: The phones are slow to respond when pushing buttons, when pushing speaker phone. Didn't think this would bother me but after only a week or so with the phones this does get annoying. With everything digital and immediate with the push of a button, this seems like very old technology with its lag time. Phone still works fine, sound quality good, but the delay with the buttons can get to you.

I have poor cell range at home, even with Wi-Fi calling. I'm online all day and unable to get too far from my desk using the equipment we're required to use. However, sometimes when I don't need to be sitting in front of a camera, I'm able to sneak away via a cordless landline"¦so I can get some steps in while I let my dog out, fix lunch or toss a load of clothes into the dryer. Unfortunately, my old standby cordless phone has seen better days, and I've been searching and searching for something fresh. Most vendors have opted out of what must've seemed like a dead market. But then I discovered these Gigaset models. And I'm blown away. They took what might've been a tapped out vein of gold"¦and they've found a way to instead harvest platinum. These phones are sleek and modern and super functional. They do every single thing I need - and even some pie-in-the-sky stuff I've only wished for. Out of the box, they're awesome. I admit that I had to use the QR code to get to the manual"¦to uncover all of the really cool features. But I couldn't be happier. I plugged in a headset, used hands free, muted my clinking around in the kitchen noises, changed ringtones for family members, added my VoIP voicemail code"¦all in the first 15-20 minutes. I'm all set. Ordered another couple of handsets. Life is good.

The quality of the material is good, it's lightweight, the manual is simple detailed and easy. The only complaint it's the quality of the sound, I have very sensitive ears and the sound in calls is distorted both on speakerphone and normal, most of the time I'm trying to guess what the other person is talking about because of the distortion of the sound. It's like the quality of the speakers is very cheap. Also some times I have headaches because of the noise that hurt my ears.

I bought this phone only (!!) because it has a headset jack. It is important for my work for both to having a landline and using a headset. I am a professional interpreter. This device is very simple but hits all the spots. 4 stars only because I had to look for answers here on how to mute the call and how to mute the ringtones as instructions do not cover many features including those.
