This item is great! The only hard part to using this is you have to slam it down on the blade in hopes that it will sit there while you grab your Mallett or whatever you plan on using to hit your wood worh.

This works well. After you mount it it's better. The only thing that is a hassle is that there is no ring to hold the log. But it allows you to split larger logs. So I guess it could be looked at as a plus. This thing is made out of thick steel. It's quite heavy duty.
