We use a cooler a lot during the year. I live in the South and it is warm here March through December. Our need for a cooler is for when we go to the lake in the boat either fishing or skiing, when we are by the pool at home, or on roadtrips or vacations to the beach. While expensive, this cooler solves several problems for us. First, with out the need for ice, we get to use the storage space to its full capacity for the drinks and food we take. Second, there is no mess or cleanup or worry about water leaking anywhere. Third, everything stays at a consistent temperature for as long as we need. Its the perfect travel cooler.
I love that there are two sides that I can control separately and set at different temperatures. I like the option of plugging it into the car, a wall outlet or using a generator. The app is a great and easy way to set it up and maintain a watch on the temperature. If there is one downside, it would be that it is heavy, especially after being loaded, so wheels would be nice. But that being said, the capacity is large and it works flawlessly. This is high technology that works.

This is my first portable fridge/freezer purchase. I've been researching for months now. Delivery was a day EARLY, bonus! I let it sit 18 hours even though the delivery guys said it was upright while they had it. Had them put it in the shed. This is on the texas coast, mid September, HOT and humid. Next morning I unpacked it, no damage. Lid seals tight, I'm not sure if it should have a Jack for charging with solar but the power supply has an adapter for vehicle power and 110 house power. Wheels and handles tight, nothing loose or broken. It was about 10:00 I plugged it into my solar inverter and it started running. Temp in the shed was 80f. Same inside the cooler. It started dropping quick but the shed temp rose just as quick. By noon it was 94 in the shed but the box was cooling down and I had it on max. The power drain on my solar was next to nothing and the compressor was quiet. I changed to house power late in the day, left it over night and it still running the second day now. I dropped the temp to 15 on the large side after it was 27 all night and the small side was at 33 from the start. I had put a bottle of water in the large side overnight and it was full of ice the next morning. Not solid but getting close. This unit performs great so far. The only complaints are the temp setting aren't true to what I measured with my meter however not knowing where the sensors are makes a difference. After moving my sensor from the bottom to mid level changed the difference (closer). I guess after some time I'll get it zeroed in. Now the APP is goofy as hell. I got it working but it was frustrating. I think I'll be happy with it. If not I'll come back here.

We were looking for a 12 volt cooler for our off grid tiny cabin and the Bodaga 80qt fit our needs perfectly. Space is limited in our cabin and it fit in despite being 80qt. The larger size is a bonus. Being new to 12 volt coolers we were pleased how it kept our food cold over the weekends. Found the appt challenging at first but once installed it made dialing in temps easy. Well made and performs as described. Only flaw we found in the design is the bottle opener on end that hits the back of the hand when lifting the cooler. Removed it and problem solved.

both of these tests were done with a lifepo4 12v 100ah battery. first test was done outside on my deck in full open sun on the fridge. day one was 96 degrees and day two it reached 98. I precooled on 110 to temp, 36 on fridge, and 16 on freezer. placed in the full sun. ran wet bulb thermometers with alcohol in freeze and water in the fridge. during the day I ran it on max, then at night (70s) I ran on eco. the fridge was steady at 36 and the freezer did not stay at 16 but did stay at 25. still able to freeze. during this time, it ran out of juice after 29.5 hours. I would say a huge win to be in that much heat and run that long. really, who is going to keep it in full sun while you are out. test 2 was in a spare room. we keep the house at 70 during the day and 67 at night. same temps as first test. ran on eco the whole time. fridge stayed at 36 and the freezer kept at 16. battery life was 70.5 hours. almost 3 full days. I do believe if there was food in both areas it would last longer. I may do a test with that issue. DO NOT go by the temps displayed on cooler. they are not accurate. the fridge is better than the freezer. always said 38 to 41. and the freeze was dead set at 11. neither one was ever at those temps. noise level is insane. I slept next to it one night at about 5 feet and never bothered me, and I am a very light sleeper. I would say it is at least twice as quiet as our new fridge in the kitchen. when I use in the field, I will take my wireless thermometers. I would recommend to always get to temp on 110 before going to battery. only flaw I can see is the pull-out handle. it should be angled up so you don't put such and angle on the fridge to pull it.
