Had to replace broken toilet seat. This one was exactly as described. Super quick and easy to install and seem to be built well. The soft close feature is a nice upgrade over the old seat. I would reccomend this.

Installation was quick & easy, and only took 5-10 minutes. It looks nice, feels heavy and sturdy, and is comfortable. It feels like good quality product; and both the lid and seat are of the slow-close variety (didn't seem to be slow-close, but that feature requires installation first. I like that the bolts are designed to break off at correct torque, not loose and not overtightened. Seat is secure and has no wiggle, and it supposedly never needs to be tightened. Would buy again, and I would recommend it w/o hesitation.

This is an easy close type design and when I took it out of the package, it didn't look right and looked just like a typical seat. We couldn't figure out the "easy close" as it looked different then the one we had. Was going to send it back and even took out a return through amazon but the one we had broke even more and so we went ahead and installed this one even though we didn't think it was the right one and guess what!?!?! It was and it works perfectly and is an easy close and a really good seat. Glad I didn't send it back. Of course.. I should have trusted that we got the right one in the beginning.

They are easy to install, roughly 15 minutes or less if you use a 16 mm socket and socket wrench, including cleaning and removal of the old seat.
The seats can also be removed for cleaning and easily re-attached in the same position.
I used the following tools. You could probably get the bare minimum cheaper (~$20 range), but I invested in a nice socket set and ratchet for work around the house on Black Friday with the idea they would pay for themselves with some car work:
Husky 1/2 in. Drive Deep Metric Impact Socket Set (11-Piece) (only need a 16 mm socket, but I got it from this $37.60 set)
Husky 1/2 in. Drive 144-Tooth Pro Ratchet ($44.05)
Of course you could just use a wrench if you wanted.
Be sure to check that the color matches your toilet.
The seats can also be removed for cleaning and easily re-attached in the same position.
