I did not know that Corel is still around. It's a blast from the past.

So note this review is a first impression review, I'll add more as I use this program.

I was using a slideshow/video maker that was preloaded on my computer and it was ok. It was very basic, not alot of flash but it was easy to use to be able to put together a basic slideshow from my pictures.

I opened this up, at first look, the project page can look intimidating. There's just so many options to this VideoStudio. YOu have to really step back and get your bearings. If you have used any type of slideshow program you can intuitively figure some of the things out. However, I did open up the user guide and use it to guide me to begin a project.

After messing around with it, I can get the basics of beginning a project for my slide show. There are many options for adding titles, transition, music and overlays. What is cool is they have these templates where you can just have Corel put a slide show together based on which template you want to use. It's suppose to select the best pictures and format base on the template. If you want a simple option, this is a good choice.

So far I am able to figure out how to start my yearly family slide show. What I love is that I can save the project one one computer and then transfer it to another computer to work on. I really like that option.

I did not give it five stars because I just started using Corel. I will update this as I use this.

Very good product

This is the best home video editing software out there: Corel VideoStudio Pro. This bad boy is all about keeping up with the latest and greatest in video technology, like 3D, 4K, 8K, and even mind-blowing 360-degree VR videos. And guess what? It handles them very nicely
This software is a powerhouse of video editing tools. You've got multicam editing, motion tracking, time remapping, video masking, GIF creation, and even speech-to-text auto-captioning. Seriously, it's like having your own personal video studio right at home!
It also has a bunch of snazzy title and transition effects.
It is crazy fast when it comes to rendering edits. Plus, the interface is very user-friendly.
It's very impressive. If you're looking for amateur video editing software, look no further

I've been using Corel video editing software for a decade. Home stuff with family, projects for kid schools, etc., but the version I've been using was 7-8 years old and feeling dated. This new version is a great upgrade.

Its always been fairly intuitive and easy to use, so you can be up and creating videos in short order, and now the interface is familiar but improved. The include sound files, graphics, effects, clips, etc. are all top notch (love the included royalty free sound clips).

I feel like I've only scratched the surface on what it can do, but its been able to do everything we need it to (and my son got a "A" on his last school project using it, so that's something!)

I've stuck with Corel Video Studio for 10 years, after trying several others, because it really is the best value for what it is. There may be more powerful programs out there, but the learning curve is huge on some of them. For the majority of users out there, this is their best bet.

Video Studio Pro is a cool video editing software program. It has a lot of cool features to choose from. You can create and customize your own videos and slideshows. The timeline took a little time to understand, and get used to. The video tutorials helps you learn and get a better understanding of the program. I would have rated the program 5 out of 5. But, it's missing the specials effects feature. Overall its a cool video editing software.
