I love this brace, it allows me to stand more erect decreasing the severe discomfort I experience in my mid- and lower back while walking my dog. After decades of poor posture, I was no longer able to stand completely erect and was having to look down constantly since I could not keep my head raised to look forward when walking for more than a few minutes. This is an update on a back brace I wore years ago and it is definitely an improvement over the previous posture brace.
The instruction sheet suggests that initially you wear the brace 30 minutes at a time and then gradually increase the time you wear it. The instructions also suggest the maximum time it should be worn at one time. The goal is to remind you to correct your posture while not wearing the brace rather than depending on the brace constantly. I am 5' 7 1/2" tall and weigh 160 lbs. with a medium frame. With my previous back brace I could not adjust the straps to pull my shoulders back but this brace has small straps you can adjust. The velcro is very strong and I particularly like the vertical bars that run down the back increasing the support to your back. Suggest you wear the brace over a shirt or blouse to keep the brace from rubbing and irritating your skin. The instructions say to not wash the brace in a machine or dry clean it.

This brace is comparable to the best brands for slightly less. It is of high quality, helps supports & helps straighten your back. I have back problems that are getting worse as I get older, & this brace is of very high quality that I received quickly. It gives me the support I need when I work around the house or when I need to go to work, shop or walk outside without the usual pain. You will not get a better product for this money. Never.

It provides some support, but it's not simple to get into, so I find myself not using it as much as I expected that I would. I think it may be helpful to my posture, but maybe more as a reminder to stand up straight than as an actual aid. I'm not sure. I will be trying it again, probably in a social setting where I would like to stand up straight as possible!
