I love this pot! It heats water quickly and isn't noisy! I have a different brand that is smaller and it makes a lot of noise! I do wish the lid opened all the way, but I still like this pot! I have small hands so I can reach inside to clean it easily.

I just received my pot today. I preformed the test pot max fill (Brita filtered water), let it boil until it shut off, let it sit for 5 min., then dumped it into dish water. I refilled halfway with my filtered water and turned it on. It took 3 min. to boil before it shut off and the temp of water was 160* I then unplugged my cord and placed my pot on a heat resistant silicone pad. I don't know how long it will retain the temp as this is my first pot and I just wanted a cup of tea. I placed one Red Rose teabag (black tea) in my cup and poured my water over it. I do like that my tea is nice and dark, I prepared it plain so I could taste the water from pot boil and my tea tasted great! No residue or metal taste. My microwave never seemed to get that dark color from my tea bags when cooked for 3 min. in there, then I would place the bag in afterwards. So far so good. Will update if any issues arise.

Amswer : This Kettle has a separate heating element, and it shuts off when water temp is reached. It doesn't keep temperature after it shuts off...I hope this answers your question.

Fast boiling with automatic shut off. Not too hot to touch with double stainless steel layers that looks shiny and beautiful. Cool light color when is on . I love it !

I wanted to get an electric kettle, but didn't want to spend that much. A number of ones that I saw were very pricey. They may have had more features and ones that I didn't necessarily need. This kettle boils water so quickly, which is great especially when I'm in a rush. I like that it automatically turns off when it's done boiling, so if I need to step away for a few minutes, I can safely leave it. I've had it for a few weeks now and use it multiple times a day and so far have been very happy with the purchase.

I'm enjoying my kettle very much. It heats to a boil very quickly and it looks stylish while it does it. The stainless steel makes it look high-end. Looks great in my kitchen. My previous kettle had a button for various water temperatures and lighting which tells the temp; those features would have been great on this one. But a 1 button boil does the job. This kettle works great and I'm happy with it.
