Very well made, but heats up water slower than advertised.

This immersion water heater is very well made. Even the cord and a plug are proper thickness and give and impression of good quality which I would not worry to use. However it took much longer to heat up the water than advertised and this is in the middle of summer heat. I would prefer it to work as fast as expected, but because this heater feels like well built and safe to use I will keep on using it and would still recommend it even though you should be prepared to double your waiting time to get your water hot especially if you are heating up something bigger than a 5 gallon bucket.

"¢ Shouldn't be used to heat water less than 7" tall.

2000 watts of power heats water as fast as a single household circuit can.

So far so good. This 2000W immersion heater is doing a good job of heating the circulating rinse water in my portable darkroom. I've also used it to heat up water in a small backyard swimming pool. The 2000 watts helps to heat things up faster than smaller wattage heaters but they all take a while. None of them are quick.
Be careful

This thing heats up water quick, which is what I like. The problem, though, stems with what your water is in. Plastic materials, you will need to place a piece of board on the bottom or try to suspend the heater where it doesn't touch the sides, otherwise it will melt. If you use metal, make sure that you have a pair of gloves.
Just be careful. This thing could pose a risk if you're not paying attention, it's just that good at its job.

Hot water where you need it

This is an immersion water heater. This is designed to heat cold water in a bucket or tub or container. I got this so that I could heat water to shower and rinse hands, feet, or the whole body when outdoors. The heating element is inside and the outside doesn't get super hot so it will not burn anything that touches it. The cord is plenty long on the immersion heater. immersion heater includes a thermometer with probe on a long wire and brillo pad to keep the heater shiny.
This is perfect for camping when you have access to power. I fill up a Hart 20v 5 gallon rinser from an outdoor faucet and stick the immersion heater inside to heat up the water. The heating element is actually underneath the metal and plastic shell so the plastic rinser doesn't melt or anything. When the temp gets to 110 or 120 degrees, I unplug the immersion heater and remove it. Don't ever let the immersion heater be plugged in and not fully submerged in water. It's similar to building water heaters where the heating element will burn out. Also never ever touch the water with the immersion heater plugged in. Over time things will rust and corrode so you never know. With the rinser water heated up with the immersion heater, it's pretty comfortable when rinsing hands, feet, or the whole body. Perfect for showers.
This heater heats up 5 gallons of outdoor faucet water to 120 degrees in about 15 minutes and draws about 1450 watts as measured from the wall outlet. Even 120 degrees is kind of hot. 110 degrees may be more comfortable. The performance is the same as a yellow immersion heater I have too. I measured the temp with the included thermometer. If you have a 2000watt power inverter in your car or truck, you could probably power it in the wild for the 10mins to heat up the water.
