I used two kits (4 stringers) to open up my back porch. Hardest part was the concrete bolts. Make sure you take the sleeve off and test fit before to tap it in. Dust packs in the bottom of the holes and stops the bolt short. I found it easier to install stringer on pavers, then level and bolt to porch. I used 2"x12"x16' and they fit great. The screws did work. I pre-drilled very small holes and hand started. I used and ratchet, 1/4 socket ,and Phillips head bit (tapped in) to tighten. Was an one day project and made a big impact.
