I needed a new smart key for a 2020 Explorer. Most of the info I found was that only a dealer or locksmith could program a new smart key to ford.
I took a chance on a replacement and the installer from Amazon and proved them wrong.
I read several reviews that it worked for them and they had keys in 5 to 15 minutes.
I used a 32 gb iPhone and it took almost an hour to get through step one only to say pairing failed. I tried twice with the same result. I had very good internet service.
I read some reviews where they had to use a 64 gb phone so I thought I would give it one more try with the 64 gb. Step one still took almost an hour but as soon as it said to pair, it paired instantly.
Don't give up too soon!

Started at 12:30pm finished at 1:45pm Worked on my Honda Civic!
Tried 4 times to get it to work and failed 3 times.
Worked great on the 4th time in only 5 minutes.

Instructions are not adequate for such a complicated task. Some that are confusing:
1. Turn on the ignition (did that mean: " start the car?" Nope - turn key to 2nd mark.)
2. Have all the keys you have that are working and your new keys that you want to program. Does that mean:
(You are going to program all of your Keys? Both the working keys and your new key??) Nope. It only means: You need one working key and your new keys.
3. Can you read the instructions before you start the process, so you can understand what you will need to do and be prepared? NOPE. Just jump right in and hope you have done this 3 times before and you will be find!

This device got so many bad reviews and I almost did not buy it 2 days ago. I hope the information I have given will help the next buyer to fix their new keys faster that I did. I just want my remarks to be helpful. Please buy this device if you want to have a backup key for your car or truck.

This is a wonderful product! It took me like 10 minutes to program 2 alarm controls for my 2014 gmc Sierra! A guy charge me $70 each! I did it for $60 and very ez! I will try whith my Subaru! Just be sure if your vehicle is compatible with the product .

This is the second of the EZ Installers that I have used. First one went super slick and easy. This one not so much. Unfortunately, you have to cut the key BEFORE you can pair because it needs to turn on the ignition to be paired. So, I got the key cut ($45 laser cut) and it turned fine in the ignition so I could then pair it. The pairing was "successful". The car started right up. Hooray! Not so fast. None of the fob features worked. I can't lock, unlock or pop the hatch. Nothing... Really sucks but at least the car starts and I only needed a spare key so I've got that going for me...

UPDATE: Live and learn! This product works great. Turns out that the replacement key I purchased was sent with the wrong programming code. It was not the fault of the EZ Installer. Take note that when programming a 2012 Subaru Outback key you must perform two completely separate operations. First, you must pair the keys to the car with the EZ installer. You also must pair both the original and replacement at the same time. When the app asks you how many keys you are pairing, select "2". Then it will pair both keys identically. Both keys will now start the car. For the second operation, you must program the fob buttons to unlock, lock, etc. On a Subaru, it is somewhat fiddly but there are many guides online. When reprogramming the original fob, it went easily. With the replacement key, it didn't work. Oh well, the EZ Installer worked perfectly!
