I've owned an affordable treadmill from Amazon before, and I used that one until it stopped working. I'm an avid treadmill user and I work from home.

This treadmill blows the other one out of the water for several factors:
- noise
- smoothness of operation
- weight limit
- ability to silence beeps
- clearer instructions & troubleshooting

This treadmill is quiet. With any treadmill, you're going to hear your footsteps on the tread every time, so what you want to look for is a treadmill that won't be loud enough to hear on meetings or distract from work (if you work from home). This is that treadmill - quiet, smooth, and no one at work has heard it yet!

This thing is smooth, and I am WAY impressed with that. This has a higher weight limit than the previous affordable treadmill I owned (treadmills in the $180-350 range on Amazon), and you can tell instantly. I'm usually somewhere near the top of the weight range for these cheap treadmills, so when I started walking on this treadmill and the tread moved *smoothly* from start to finish??? Game over. This is the one. No jolting start that requires skilled acrobatics to survive. No shaky tread that feels like you're on some weird amusement park ride. This treadmill runs like butter.

The user manual states this treadmill's weight limit is 264.5 lbs/120 kg. I'm somewhere around 240 lbs and it's STILL this smooth. I'm in love.

The treadmill beeps loudly when you press buttons on the remote, but one of the buttons on the remote silences the beeps! You have to do this every time you turn on the treadmill, so if noise is a concern, keep that in mind. I'd compare the beep volume to a microwave beep. While I'd love to permanently silence the beeps, I'm happy that I can silence them at all.

The instructions are super clear and thorough. In addition to the normal safety info, I'm particularly impressed with the easy-to-follow startup instructions, the visuals, the remote control cheat sheet (I just leave this page open on my desk), the error code table with clear instructions, the troubleshooting, and lubrication info. With this user manual, I feel very confident owning and caring for my treadmill.

Lubricant included! The treadmill arrives ready to go, so the lubricant is just to top off when necessary. The manual tells you when to do that.

Another quick thing to note: the manual recommends storing the treadmill flat, not vertically or on its side.

All in all, I am wildly impressed with this treadmill for the price. I've used it frequently for 1-4 hours at a time for about 50% of the days since I got it! It doesn't show any signs of use after that time, and the operation hasn't shown signs of impact after walking on it for 3-4+ hours in one sitting. I'd buy this treadmill again in a heartbeat if it broke. Highly, highly recommended!

I purposely waited to complete this review because had I done it when I first received it almost a month ago, the review might have been premature. Overall, I have been pleased with the convenience of having this walking pad. It was definitely affordable and I guess you get what you pay for. Great for those who work from home and need to move now its getting cold and dark.

Pros:
Speed up to 4 miles per hour which is great when you feel like a little jog.

Remote: Has a cute little hand held remote that makes controlling speed easy and it's cool to pause for a few and return to my workout

Space Saver- fits nicely in small spaces - we have it in our living room and just move it aside when done.

Wheels: Has little wheels in the front which makes moving it around an ease.

No assembly req

Convenient: Its getting dark and I won't have an excuse not to move:)

Cons:

Residue: Each time we use it, we see white residue on the floor and by the side of the machine. It appears the black paint or rubber or whatever it is peels off after each use.

Display: It has a little display box that shows steps, distance etc which is nice but its small and you have to wait for each one to come around..I would have preferred the display a little bigger

Came fast, set up was super quick and painless. I work from home and spend a lot of time in front of the computer, my hips hurt from sitting all day and trying to get in steps is impossible some days. This was great for just getting some movement into the day while still taking zoom meetings or going through emails. You can't be on it all the time obviously and I found myself having to work up from a slow speed because at first it made me dizzy to look at a screen and walk at the same time. It is light enough to move away when I want to sit back down. Wish it folded but again for the price it does what it needs to do easily. With a remote control so i can adjust speed or view different display modes while still walking.

I was wondering if I'd really be able to walk while typing, writing, etc...and this treadmill makes it easy to do. I've had it a week, and I am currently walking at a rate of 1.5 mph - which is much slower than I actually walk, but I can easily work while walking at this pace. The unit is sturdy enough to last awhile (I hope), but still reasonably easy to move when I'm ready to sit for a bit. The "beep" it makes when I turn it on is loud, but there's a mute button (which ALSO makes a beep, LOL) to render it quiet subsequently. It makes a soft "swishing" sound when I am on it, but is reasonably quiet - no one in the 3 surrounding offices seems to mind (and at least one of them is going to have her own treadmill next week). Very pleased with this purchase!
