The scooter is fine on flat ground, goes a steady 15 mph. If you want to go up hills then you are out of luck because man this thing was going under 4mph on a hill that wasn't even that steep. Not a good scooter for commuting if there are inclines.

I live about a mile away from my job. Even while being so close to work I notice I was spending about 30 dollars in week just on gas, this is due to the number of stop lights, and traffic on this stretch of road. Also not having direct road access I had to drive an extra 1/4 extra mile in order to make a u-turn and get on the road that lead directly to my job. So my drive to work not only used more gas than would be need for a 1 mile trip it also took me about 20 minutes to get to work and 20 minutes to get home. I tried walking one day and that took about 40 minutes to get home (Inclined street) and about 30 minutes to get to work (downward inclined street. I noticed there were people commutting with scotters and I decided to my own scotter. I had tried some more powerful scooters, but because of the smaller tires you can feel the rattle of the sidewalk, and going over cracks that are to big was not fun. I decided I wanted a scotter with tires that are similar to a bike for a smoother ride. I found this scooter. Not the fastest but fast enough to get me to work in 10 minutes. So now I am actually saving time, as well as money. $30 dollars a week is about $120 dollars in savings per month.
Charging is easy, standard charger that plugs into any wall. and compact enough to go under my work bench. The bike itself is sturdy and required minimal assembly, basically you will only be attaching the handle bar and the seat. The headlight is very powerful and driving at night was a breeze. It also has brake lights which are a nice feature and bicycle style brakes.
The only drawback, and that may have to do more with me than the bike is on higher incline roads it may struggle. This is most likely a result of me and not the bike. I weigh 240lbs so I am bascially at the max weight of what this bike can handle. So if you are heavy set like me and you live in a hilly area this is something to consider. My colleague who weighs 150lbs had no issues on the incline and got it to the max speed on a straight away. I even with my heavy weight got it to a speed of 15mph.
Overall a nice strong sturdy commuter scooter.
