These came in a pack of ten, they have a self life of five years as listed on the box and are thin and small enough to fit in a boot or pocket. I am of a warmer climate and whenever we visit my wife's family in winter I nearly don't make it back not encased in a solid block of ice, Encino man style. Wool socks do some but when the cold gets in my feet they don't get warm again so I figured lets try these.
We actually visited this summer and it ended up raining a few days straight and dropped in the 40s at night and upper 50s in the day so I used one of these. It worked well and I like the charcoal in them to help prevent any odors. The only critique I would say is that while they did last about 8 hours it was not the same level of heat the whole time and it wasn't 20 degrees but only in the 50s. I wonder if it were colder would they work as well or not as long. I'll find out in a few months when we are back and all their trees look dead but I'll be glad to have these still as they will do more than not having them for sure.
