It comes in a relatively small package, so you'd be surprised to know that the wooden headboard is actually in there. Once you finally set it up, it looks gorgeous! It is perfect for a twin-size bed, and the fact that it has a couple of inches of space under the bed is a huge plus for more storage and easier cleaning under the bed. I was in need of a twin size bed frame for my 16 year old daughter and this came at the perfect time. Following the given instructions, assembly was easy and took me about an hour from unbox to finish. The rustic wooden headboard and footboard are very nicely done and accent the black frame beautifully. Laying on the mattress the frame did not make any sound and felt rigidly supportive. The only advice I can give, since I have wood floors, is to add some rubber feet to prevent the bed from sliding. If you have carpet, then it's no problem. There's plentiful space underneath to add storage drawers, or just for easier cleaning. You know teen-age girls *sigh. Recommended.
