We have been using the PetKit automatic litter box for a few years and it was great u til we got two new kittens and need a large litter box with more poop capacity. We switched over to this and the transition went smoothly. It's very quiet, easy set up, and with 4 cats we change the poop bag out 1 time a week.
I do wish the app was more functional, there were features on the PETKIT app that I liked better. My only con to this litter box has been that the litter tracks quite a bit more when the cats initially jump out of the litter box. We are using a cat net to help but I have noticed a significant increase in litter being tracked outside of the cat box with this one.

Conceptually the product is great! We initially had an electrical problem"”make sure the outlet you use isn't connected to a switch. Took us & 3 different tech people to figure this out. Our litter robot is in the basement, so it took some sleuthing. We have 3 cats. Two youngest, no problem. Hopped right in. Our 13 year old cat is still working on it. He's making progress. It was a little frustrating having to contact customer service multiple times, 2 of the 3 people we dealt were knowledgeable & helpful. Overall, the litter robot, I imagine, is like the invention of the washing machine. A traditional litter box suddenly feels like a scrub board. It'll get the job done, but why would you?

NO MORE SCOOPING POOP!!!! Do I have to say anything else? lol. It's quieter than I expected and it looks great. The app works fine and it tracks the activity of both of my cats. My cats now have more privacy and were comfortable using this right away. I couldn't finish assembling it and one of them was trying to use it lol. It's great for odor elimination and I only have to change the bag once a week instead of scooping daily! Yes it's costly, but damn is it great to have one! Especially for the elderly or disabled. I've only owned this for a few weeks now but I can't not have one of these now. There's an old saying that once you go"¦..lol. The only downfall for me is that one of my cats loves to interrupt the cycle religiously like it's a toy. My other cat doesn't care and lets it do it's thing. Hopefully he'll get bored of it one day but that's my only gripe so far lol. 5 out of 5 stars for me!

Cats began using immediately, though I kept old litter box next to it for a few days. I ordered 2, and was using 3 litter boxes before for 3 indoor cats. I scooped all 3 every day and not scooping is my favorite thing! Lifting and tying the bag closed and replacing is so much easier! The app tells you when the unit cycles, how many uses it has had and when it is getting full. The only time I have smelled waste was when changing bag.
