Great grating Romano
Dusty Van•December 4, 2017
Make no mistake, there is better "Pecorino Romano". You can pay upwards of $25 (or more) per pound. It's up to you. This is great Romano for grating, garnish or Etc. I love it on just about any Italian dish, soups, salads, Use it on any thing you can think of. My Grandmother, full blooded "old country" Italian says it's very good, not the best, but at that price get it. She's one of those that buys the huge "wheels" and keeps it in the basement.. You just have to store it correctly. And 3 pounds is not $60 to $75 either.
Excellent Cheese

Brought three pounds of Pecorino Romano, the flavor is excellent.
Bought mine from Lombardi's Market, the cheese was well packed with plastic wrap, deli paper and had two ice packs in the box.
Plus more packing paper around it. Cut mine into four pieces then vacuum sealed them.
Will buy this again and highly recommend the cheese and the seller.

Excellent Pecorino, terrible packaging
John•October 23, 2017
It breaks my heart to give such good pecorino a bad review. However, the pecorino itself is 5 stars. The problem is the horrible packaging which ended up ruining most of the cheese. There was no insulation and just a tiny ice pack which evidently had long been melted by the time it arrived. The package didn't take long, it just was not adequately prepared. The result was some melting with the taste of the plastic wrap covering the entire outer portion of the cheese. I had to slice off at least a 1/2 inch all around to get the plastic taste out.
Excellent!

Great product! Unable to find Romano cheese anymore in local stores. If it can be found locally, the quality has been terrible - no flavor. THIS is what I remember - excellent! So glad to have purchased the 3#. Buy it, it won't disappoint!
