We love this product!
I keep it on hand to grate and use as a topping on many dishes. When larger amounts are needed for a recipe I run it thru the fine or medium grate on the food processor. Also, it's easy to peel swirls off the wedge with a peeler for a salad topper.
Keep in mind ...wear gloves when handling the wedge so it doesn't spoil where you've touched it.
Flavor is superb and it's a great value.
Can't use it for Sauces, but cheese is great tasting.

Wanted to make cocoa de pepe. An Italian dish I fell in love with while in Italy. They warned that the American version of Pecorino Romano had a filler in it that prevented it from blending into a sauce with the pasta water as is required for this tasty dish. Thought this cheese was imported from Italy. Maybe it is but the cheese will not blend in a sauce. Love the taste of the cheese. Delicious just not sauce worthy.

I grew up in New York and as second-generation Italians we did all of our shopping in Corona, Queens or Little Italy. Since moving to Ohio it has been almost impossible to find a really good Italian cheese. When you do find it, you have to mortgage your house to buy it. I decided to give this a try and was not disappointed! It's a little bit softer than the pecorino Romano that we got from Phil's Lattecceria years ago but the taste is every bit as good. Sharp and creamy and the price can't be beaten.

I don't like to go to stores. I like to buy as much as I can online. I found this Romano cheese on Amazon. I had some doubts about ordering cheese on line but it seemed worth taking the chance. The cheese arrived in two days. I had bought the cheese for my parents. My parents are both Italian-American. They are very fussy about food. I hadn't tasted the cheese so I was a little hesitant to give it to them. Well, they loved it. And if they didn't love it, I would know! Grate it for your pasta.

I've been buying this Pecorino Romano for years and it is my favorite italian cheese. I even put it on popcorn! The cheese is delivered with an ice pack, styrofoam container and vacuum packed. I cut the cheese into smaller pieces and vacuum pack the pieces before putting them in the freezer. I like this brand of Romano because it has a full flavor and doesn't appear to be as salty. I even eat it just all by its self.
