Perfect if you have leg swelling, back problems, or an injury that needs healing

I wasn't certain if I would like using this wedge cushion when I ordered it. But I had a leg that was going to be wrapped up for 10 weeks due to an injury and my doctor told me to "keep your foot above your heart as often as possible." That is not easy to do. But with this pillow I at least could follow his directions while I was in bed. It turns out to be very comfortable to sleep with this cushion. I could use it to elevate both legs if I slept on my back. And I could elevate just the one leg if I slept on my side if I put the wedge between my knees. That actually turned out to be an extremely comfortable way to sleep. I don't know if this cushion was responsible, but my leg ended up healing 4-5 weeks earlier than my doctor predicted. Even though I officially no longer need this puillow, I am still using to because it is very comfortable.

This pillow is perfect. I purchased this pillow because I actually had ankle surgery today. I ordered over the weekend and the pillow arrived as I was arriving back from the hospital. Delivery was swift thanks to Amazon Prime and the product is excellent quality. It is extremely sturdy without being too hard. I am currently resting both legs up on the plateaued top just to ensure that my leg will be comfortable after the "leg blocker"/numbing anesthesia (the anesthesiologist's phrase, not mines) wears off. It is much better than taking a bunch of pillows to create this level of leverage. The pillow is so comfortable that I will continue usage after my healing is complete in a different capacity.

Exactly what i was looking for. I am 6'2"" and have been sleeping in my recliner using pillows and blankets to support my back due to upper, lower back pain and hip. Problem was i could not build anything easy to use to elavate my legs higher that would not deflate or I would spend a lot if time rebuilding when i moved. This did the trick. It is firm and does not deflate and maintains its elavation with an inclined support for the upper leg so as not to put all pressure on the lower leg. Fabric is thin so not to create or hold heat, if one is worried how long the fabric/civer would last i would suggest a towel or old piece of an old sheet to place over it, and to hand wash and air dry. Regarding chem smell, simply remove and air out foam after unbagging.

I suffer from Venous Stasis where my calf veins fill up with fluid and then cause nasty weals similar to burn wounds. These then rupture and the top layer of skin sloths off leaving a wound similar to a 2nd degree or 3rd degree burn. These wounds can be up to two inches in diameter. The whole process is very painful. My Dr has me on Lasix, a diuretic to help reduce the fluid buildup. Well after taking Lasix about a year it just stopped working and my legs swelled even worst. After another visit to my doctor he figured out that with the warmer weather my body was low on potassium (per recent blood test) an essential electrolyte. After taking a time released potassium prescription supplement the excess water just started pouring out as urine. I lost between 5 and 10 pounds of water weight,

While this bed wedge is nice to have, the quality is lacking. The cover got pilly very quickly and after one wash all the seams came undone. It's not very comfortable to use without a cover either. After a little while of resting my leg post-op it would flatten out a bit and not raise my leg as high. I was really hoping I could use it when I have my ankle done but it won't last that long. I will go with another brand next time.
