Longer length gives a more gradual and comfortable incline

I tried a wedge pillow a couple years ago in an attempt to combat sleep apnea and some mild heartburn issues at night, but as a side sleeper I just couldn't make it work. I decided to give it another shot, and I'm so glad I did - this pillow is significantly larger than the first one I tried, providing a gradual incline that is super comfortable.
For the first time in my life I'm able to comfortably sleep on my back, and I was surprised to discover that side sleeping is not only possible but much more comfortable with this pillow as well. The pillow is firm enough to provide great support, but also very soft.
I was really happy that there was no chemical smell - usually pillows ordered online have to be aired out for a day, but I was able to use this just a couple hours after opening it.
We ordered a second one for my husband (who has difficulties with GERD), and he loves it as well. I can't recommend it enough for back or side-sleepers.

The wedge jumped right into shape as I took it out the packaging. Te surface is very firm but not too hard for me. I've been using mine for about 2 mnths and it still has its shape.
However, what I've found with it and edges of its size, is that the wedge is too short horizontally, which leaved the lower back without support and suspended between the bottom edge of the wedge and the mattress, and thus causes backaches. My solution was to put a worn pillow, not a roll, but a pillow that had the stuffing flattened along one of the long sides. I place it right at the small of my back to compensate for that, which works comfortably.
That being said, you will find yourself sliding down the wedge throughout the night. But that's just gravity working on an incline. Only a full mattress wedge would solve that. Those are too expensive for me, so I got the upper body one.
Its good that it comes with a case, but it's white and the textured surface will get dirty very quickly,. so just like a pillow in a protective case, I recommend getting a secondary outer case for it, which I got.

This thing is like laying on a cloud! Rest, immediately eliminated neck and back pain. So comfy. WAY bigger than I expected. I should've paid more attention to the dimensions. Not an issue though. With there were "pillowcases" available. Recommend!
Comfortable, Helped Reflux, Keeps Shape

My doctor advised me to buy a wedge for my recent episodes of GERD, along with other modifications to my life. Although advised to buy a 12" wedge, I decided to start with this 7.5" wedge to adapt. I am used to sleeping on my stomach with an extremely thin, down pillow, so I was not looking forward to this. After reading reviews, I decided to try this one, as it was ok for side sleepers (my second favorite position) and was not extremely firm. I was pleasantly surprised. I have found it very comfortable and easy to adapt to. I usually fall asleep on my back, moving sometimes to my side. The only issue I have is slipping down during the night. I usually wake up very briefly, go back up and fall asleep again. I have put a long towel under it, anchoring it a little under the wedge, to create some friction, and I also put some plastic mesh shelf liner/rug pad type material under the towel. Its been helpful, but I do continue to slip. I don't care about the slipping now because I start out high on the wedge, and it must be enough time spent early on in the evening to help with the GERD, as I don't wake up with symptoms anymore. I sleep with my thin, down pillow on top of my wedge, so I was able to adapt easier. Because of the length of the wedge, the slope is gradual; it is NOT like sticking two pillows under one's head and it does not cause neck issues. I did buy a replacement cover from Bamboo Planet that looks like the original one, so I could wash it. Using my pillow on top of the wedge cuts down on the need to wash it as frequently.
WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG!!?

I don't leave reviews on ANYTHING. EVER! But this... This pillow. OMFG! Why didn't I order it sooner!? My boyfriend snores like 2 chainsaws making love on a freight train while a motorcycle gang races next to it, and that still probably doesn't describe what this man sounds like. We have tried mouth pieces, nose pieces, chin straps, earbuds for me, over the hear headphones for me with the volume on Max and the snoring was STILL so loud i would end up on the couch which is at least 50ft away from my room, and I could put headphones on to finally not hear him (as long as I made sure to shut my bedroom door too). And yes, I could still hear him through a closed door and 50ft away unless I put on headphones. Most nights I just stayed up. I was tired of getting up and down every night. I know this is long, but bear with me, my mind hasn't had this much clarity or silence in years. Anyway... I got this today, I let it expand for about 12 hours (I know it still has more to go). I put it on his side of the bed (he still uses his regular 2 memory foam pillows with it) and I have not heard the slightest noise from him besides very quiet breathing, which the fan is almost louder than that. I can't believe all we needed was a damn pillow. So many sleepless nights, fights and irritability and a pillow fixed the problem. All hail the maker of this pillow! I still can't believe it. I'm finally going to get sleep!!!!!!! I wish I would have ordered it when the issue started, if you sleep with a snorer, JUST BUY THE DAMN PILLOW!!! Best decision ever
