This pillow is extremely firm. I find it too firm to use on it's own, and only use it to prop up other pillows. In my opinion, it's not really suitable for everyday use, but works ok to elevate the head to help with drainage when sick with a cold.
he is a side sleeper but this is not comfortable in a side-sleeping position

Hubby is still getting used to it, he is a side sleeper but this is not comfortable in a side-sleeping position. When he can lie on his back, it is comfortable. I was afraid it would not be large enough (he is very broad-shouldered), but this is really big.

I like this wedge and it certainly does its job. However, it is extremely hard or dense. I had to get another piece of foam rubber to lay on top of it so it was not as uncomfortable to sleep on.

This wedge was purchased for my mum who suffers from acid reflux. Her doc recommended that she sleep elevated to help resolve her restless nights do to the acidm my mum loves it and she says it has really helped her speed better. She doesn't sleep anywhere without it. As a matter of fact even my brother liked it as he has back pain and wanted to sleep elevated as well. He borrowed my mums one night and by the next day had me sending him the link so he could purchase one too. After owning it for a few years it has got some wear as the shape of the foam is a bit different than it initially was, however for such a great price you could always just replace it just as you do with regular pillows.
It's comfortable and I have not had any problems to date

I suffer from positional vertigo and this pillow allows to sleep slightly upright when I'm going for my treatments. I use a sheet for a pillow case. It's comfortable and I have not had any problems to date.
