In addition to cooking rice, we also use it to make chicken soup. Although it will not stop automatically when the soup is ready, we can see the content through the transparent lid. Besides, the clean up is easy and the price is good.

I had this same rice cooker product for many years before it finally quit on me. I tried another brand and never quite liked how my Spanish rice turned out, so when I found the same one that I previously had I purchased it right away!!! I love it & couldn't be happier!!! unlike some of the other brands, you can cook flavored and different types of rice recipes with it.

i DON'T KNOW WHY IT IS ADVERTISED AS PROUCING 20 CUPS OF COOKED RICE.
IT WILL COOK 2 CUPS OF UNCOOKED RICE AND 2 CUPS WATER (REGULAR CUPS, NOT USING THE CUP INCLUDED). BUT IT DOES SPEW A LITTLE. I SOLVED THAT BY CUTTING A SHAM WOW TO COVER THE LID, LEAVING THE VENT CLEAR, BUT MAKING SURE THE CLOTH COVERED THE RIM OF THE LID. THE RICE IS WONDERFUL. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT. NO TENDING NEEDED. DELIVERY WAS PROMPT.

Firstly, I have never dared to try to cook 20 cups of rice in this, given that the hot foam and water starts spilling out once you try to cook anything more than 4 cups of normal rice in it. But given, that it cooks very well and also pretty quick in about 15 minutes for 4 cups. Makes life so much easier to have hot and fresh rice ready in minutes after coming home from a hard days work. And it has been going on and on and on.
