It's an axe handle. Replacing an old one that broke and took all of 5 minutes to swap out. No twisting or warping upon delivery and works just fine.

Very happy with the handle. Although it's purely decorative, pending being called up for the zombie apocalypse. Used a stain to darken from the light wood it came with, then used mineral oil to prep the handle. Very happy with end result.

Not cheap, but what is these days and it's a good piece. Bare minimum adjustments to the fit, I have had to really remove wood in the past to fit other handles but this just about fit from the beginning. Grain direction 45* and nicely sanded with a lacquer finish. Very pleased.
