Beautifully made knife

Very well made knife. It opens smoothly but not too easily. Hopefully the quality of the steel used in the blades has not deteriorated since I bought my last Case knife years ago. I will know as soon as I try to put a good edge on it!
Case Knives quality

First off, this knife has CV steel, Chrome vanadium, which is a tool steel and will rust if you don't take care of it. I see alot of people complaining and saying they got ripped off for a piece of junk. That's not the case at all. This is a very high quality knife, and I've wanted one ever since I was around 6. I've had this knife over a year now and the blades have a nice patina on them,
The knife holds a really good edge and is easy to sharpen. I've cleaned alot of squirrels and fish with this knife and I recommend it to everyone. It's solid built and Case Knives warranty is a good one, so if it gets broken somehow your covered!
Just remember to oil the blades to keep the rust off

Excellent knife, so-so edge.

Fantastic fit and finish on an extremely durable knife. The edges of both blades were a bit dull but the carbon steel was easy to sharpen up on a waterstone. If you're not into heavy duty knives this is not for you, it's a pretty big knife in the pocket and you know it's there from the weight!
If you're not familiar with Case's CV its very similar to 1095 carbon steel, so yes it will rust on you! Best thing to do is keep a thin film of oil on the blades or go for a patina to protect them by cutting something acidic and not wiping off the blade for a few minutes.

NOSTALGIC

Just what I wanted. A knife that can be handed down for generation's. Craftsmanship that you can expect from Case and a nice feel to it. It came sharp and shiny. The nostalgia of this knife make me think of my Grandaddy's knive. All it's missing is the patina of a CV that comes with time. Not only is it a beautiful piece but it's blades can get the job done around the farm.
Very nice knife
