I had this at a hotel I stay at frequently. Every year I come into town and stay a few days at this particular hotel no matter the price. It's always on a popular holiday and it's always expensive, but I pay an arm and a leg to stay there because of these waffles. When I curiously searched amazon for them I assumed they wouldn't taste the same in my home waffler. WRONG!! These taste just as good! I made pancakes with the mix and they are just as amazing. I routinely buy this and only this mix when I'm going for a ready made option. I've taken this camping, girls night, staycation, family vacation, everywhere!! It's so easy to make and great tasting that I use it every chance I get. Every weekend is like a vacation in this great hotel, even though I'm at home.
They make great waffles. crispy and light

This my second order of this Waffle Mix. Ever stay at a Marriott where they provide breakfast with do it yourself Belgian Waffles. This is the batter. They make great waffles. crispy and light. Best results with a waffle iron that flips much like the commercial version you use at the Hotels. I received the Cuisinart double version and it is fabulous.

Prep is basically one egg 5 oz of water, beat it, add 1 cup of the mix and 2 tablespoons of melted butter. Melting the butter is the only real work other than blending the ingredients well before pouring it onto the iron. If you love waffles, this is what you want.
Carbon's Golden Malted is hard to top

This waffle mix doesn't need another review. You can tell from the raves that this is top quality mix. I just wanted to add a note on preparation. When I first got this it kept turning out a little dry, which was confusing. Other waffle mixes didn't do that with our waffle iron. The taste was perfect... but the moisture content was just a little off. I even wrote to the company and they made some suggestions, but I was still struggling a little. We own the Oster ECO Dura Ceramic Flip Waffle Maker, White. I know there is a lot of debate about ceramic waffle makers but our seems to work great. Anyway, after fiddling with the preparation, today I finally perfected it. Here is how I did it.

First I always make sure to mix the wet ingredients first, then add the dry mix. Also, it's important not to over mix the ingredients. It will still be a little lumpy. But what made the difference for us was adding in a little bit of extra butter. I use real butter, which I melt before adding in. This time though, I put in approximately 2 1/2 tablespoons to the mix. That made all the difference. Not only was the taste perfect, the moisture content was spot on as well. This is probably our favorite mix now. Augason Farms Blueberry Pancake Mix #10 Can, 55 oz is right up there as well, but this Carbon's Golden Malted is hard to top. If you are a waffle fan(atic) - this is worth the money.
Best. Waffles. Ever.

I can't imagine anyone not loving this mix but let me address those who say they can get the same results from scratch, or from Bisquick -- those folks are just crazy, plain and simple. LOL. Seriously, this stuff is SO good I can't honestly believe anyone saying anything bad about it.

A few things: I make it with buttermilk, so I've never tried it any other way. And only waffles (so far -- might try pancakes with it but I'm loving my new waffle maker, the Presto 03510, which is also unbelievably good and easy to use). I've also refrigerated any unused portion I mixed up and used the next day with equally good results (just adding a bit of milk to make it a bit thinner). So that's super convenient if you want to make, say, one waffle one day and a single one the next.

I've had really, really good waffles from eateries all over the country and this beats them all. So good, in fact, that I'm going to make one RIGHT NOW (it will take a total of about 7 minutes from the time I leave my desk to plugging in the maker, making the mix, and cooking the waffle. Can't beat that for fast food!).
I have to say that although the waffle mix was really good the first day

Purchased this waffle mix for the first time for a big family reunion where we were feeding an army! We made up all three cans and had a small bowl of waffle mix left over. I have to say that although the waffle mix was really good the first day, I had one waffle the next day from the bowl that sat overnight and it was amazing!! The batter had discolored so slightly on the top, but don't let this scare you. It was perfect!!! Be sure to cover tightly in Saran wrap. Seriously, I will always let it sit overnight. We also used 5 oz. whole milk in place of the 5 oz. water and added 1/2 t. vanilla per 1 cup of waffle mix. Make my homemade "Buttermilk syrup" to pour on the top and prepare for one amazing breakfast!!!

"Buttermilk Syrup"

1 1/2 Cups white sugar
3/4 Cup buttermilk
1/2 Cup butter
2 Tbsp corn syrup
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:
1. In a saucepan, stir together the sugar, buttermilk, butter, corn syrup, and baking soda. Bring to a boil, and cook for 5-7 minutes. Remove from the heat, and stir in the vanilla.
