I got this ramp to aid my dachshund getting in and out of the house. There are two cement steps to get in and out of the doggy door and he was having a hard time getting in and out without high-centering on the steep stairs. The ramp works great, however, after only a couple of weeks (no rain, just sun, 65-75 degrees) the anti-skid material is starting to come off.

Every ramp I have purchased has no good gripping material. You can't put some sandpaper material on them and expect that to be grippy. What would be a great modifications for manufacturers is to put Velcro on the ramp and include a rug type material that can see taken off and washed when needed. I always put a rug over my ramps so that my dog feels very secure going up and down. I knew this ramp was likely not going to be long enough to create a gradual incline from my couch, but I'm going to modify it. I'm going to put something other than the Amazon box you see in my picture under it. It makes it less steep going down. Other people suggest putting the ramp under the couch cushion instead of on top of it. My couches are recliners so there is no cushion to lift up. That's why I'm modifying the other end. I would never purchase this for a normal size bed unless you have your mattress and boxspring on the floor. It's just not long enough to create a gradual incline. All that being said, I bought this on the marketplace. The description was "used and in fair condition with major damage to the inside". I took a chance because it was only $28 with free shipping and I knew I was going to cover it with a carpet anyway. The only thing that was wrong with it was a dog's claws made slight scratch marks. Nothing major at all. For $28 I think it is worth it.

It is a good ramp, one piece, has some anti slip on it which seems good but could be rough on paws. It is just too steep for us and what we needed so we returned it. It's a short ramp so we just need something longer so the angle is less for climbing.

Perfect for my miniature wiener dog to reach the bed in my office. Top tucks beneath the edge of the mattress but feels sturdy. Material is almost sandpaper-y so it has grip for the little paws going up and down. A little steep but trainable for sure!
