I recently purchased an SUV to provide extra comfort to two of my dogs. After a few days of transporting both my dogs I realized the vehicle was too tall for both my dogs to jump on and off. I ended up purchasing these steps the following day I am glad I did. These pet stairs are sturdy enough to support my 60 lb Airedale terrier without bend or any shaky movements. I also do enjoy the fact that it's easily foldable, which allows me to quickly open/close the ladder. Using the steps does may take additional training to get your dogs comfortable with walking up and down the stairs. My small dog was brave enough to attempt walking up/down the stairs with no treats involved. The large Airedale however took me multiple attempts and a bag of treats to get comfortable with walking up/down the steps. Although the ladder is convenient for my dogs, there was 2 downside to purchasing the ladder. I have a habit of reverse parking which wouldn't work on certain occasions (when backed into a wall). I find myself constantly forgetting to park head in, which results onto me lifting my dogs out the vehicle versus using the ladder. There are also occasions (many) where I am too lazy to commit to extra steps or folding/unfolding the ladder, which again results onto me lifting the dogs out. I believe this is an issue I could deal with and wouldn't justify removing a star. I would definitely recommend this product.

So many things to like about this product. Light weight yet sturdy and strong, wide steps, adjustable, easy to carry and unfold and adjust for different heights. However, I got this for a dog with weakness in the back legs causing him to slip, etc. on steps. After seeing him try to navigate these steps I could see that because there was an overhang on each step it presented a hazard. If his front feet were too far forward they might be under the next higher step and same with the back legs. That would certainly cause a fall for him so I had to return the steps, I wasn't willing to take the chance. Other than that overhang from one step to another, I looks like a great product.

We have a 135 pound Cane Corso who has a bit of a difficulty jumping up into the back of our truck. I bought these steps in hopes that they were going to be sturdy and not scare him. They worked like a dream! He had some hesitation at first but he knows now they aren't going to collapse or fall over when he walks up into the truck. These steps are also wide enough for his very large paws to walk on.
If you have a large dog and are looking for a sturdy step up, get this! They fold up nicely and we keep them in the back seat of the truck.
