Get's the job done.

The case is a pretty good quality considering the fact that I paid $15 for it. If your need is to secure your rifle, this is not the product for you. The Plastic is relatively flexible and easy to get into. In order to secure your weapon, you would need locks on each corner and the center. This will NOT stop the thief, or curious child, instead it will deter and slow. If you need this case for transportation to and from the range, this is more than adequate. You cannot have side attachments as the case is not deep enough, so no to flashlights or angled backup sights. Overall the product is great and I would buy another if I had another rifle.

A great low-cost rifle, home storage solution indeed!

For the price - really like this case! Better than a nylon sleeve or soft bag and under $20. Certainly not needed but I can see that if I want to, I can reinforce the plastic with 45 inch long aluminum rods (the type from an old umbrella frame), 2 on each side, on the inside or the outside of the case. Attatched using small flat head bolts, nuts, washers and adhesive. I've used these before to sure-up flimsy patio door screens and the like so it should work fine. Without any mods, it's still a great low-cost rifle, home storage solution indeed!

I just got this case yesterday. It's pretty much what I expected based on the reviews- a very basic case which would be perfect for my needs (rifle storage and basic car transportation). As everyone says, the padding falls out and would be nice if factory just glued it in but I figured I can just do this and no big deal. The thing I'm upset about is the tabs to keep the case closed are not attached to the case in any way. Based on the original photo and a photo from another customer it appears one side is attached to the case so when you open it they stay on. The tabs on mine are literally separate and difficult to get back on. I will be returning this case because I don't want five separate pieces of plastic to keep track of and a hard time opening and closing the case. Update: My husband got the clips to stay in place but when they are closed they still don't really close the case. We are still returning it.
