Worked fine until the first kink (around 1 month old). After that, it only got worse. Now I'm in the market for a new hose when I thought this would be the last one I'd buy for a while. I've owned it for 2 years and only regretted it most of that time.

For being a "kink resistant" hose I have never seen a hose kink up so much, and because the material is incredibly stiff it makes it more difficult than a cheap hose to get rid of the kinks. Save your money and just go buy a cheap hose, sure it might kink up (as much as this one does)but you wont have to fight as much to undo the kinks.
Update: this thing is garbage, it has so many kinks and twists in it right now and because the material is really stiff I cant get half of them out. Also putting this thing on a spool to reel it up when done just makes it kink up even more. In all honesty I think a cheap garden hose would be better than this.

I've owned many many hoses in my lifetime. I always try to buy the most expensive and best. I purchased three of these hoses (unfortunately) because of the safe drinking water characteristic so that I can water our organic gardens in the back side and front yards. The hoses kink like crazy... all the time. Also, it is extremely difficulty to handle/maneuver. Its very very difficult to wind on a hose rack. I am muscular and have strong hands and it is still VERY difficult. You end up literally fighting it all the time because it has absolutely zero flexibility. Its embarrassing to be trying to use it out in the yard. It's like you're fighting an alligator in the front yard for all the neighbors to see. I will be looking for three replacements soon. I've had these for about a year and I've about had it.

Sadly, this supposedly kink-free hose was permanently kinked by the manufacturer's packaging with too-tight straps before I even got it. I tried and tried to un-kink the hose, but finally notified Amazon that I needed to return it. Amazon was great and I printed out the return label and dropped the hose off at the UPS store the same day.

Afterward, I ordered a 100 foot hose directly from the Eley company to go with the Eley hose reel I bought through Amazon. It came packaged properly without damage. I haven't used the Eley hose and reel yet, but hope it will be worth the premium price.

I bought this because it was lead-free and claimed to be kink-free. It may be lead-free, but the hose I was sent had at least ten kinks on it right out of the package which made it just about impossible to use. The slightest tug and it twists and kinks up. I tried to stretch the hose out in an attempt to eliminate the kinks to no avail as the inside of the hose was damaged and permanently kinked in many places.

Amazon wouldn't allow me to return it because I did not actually open the package and use the hose within the 30 day return window so I was stuck with this useless, overpriced hose. It also quickly sprung a leak to add insult to injury. Did I feel ripped off. You bet. I can't imagine a more falsely advertised product and total waste of money.
