I wanted a radio that gave me options, primarily solar but also batteries or plug in. This one fit the bill. We keep it hanging on the wall in a sunny spot and it seems to charge fine. We do not take it on trips but wanted it as a backup to our power radio and for emergencies. It has gotten equally good reception to our usual radio and the volume levels are fine. It is also lightweight. We've had it over 6 months now and have no complaints.

Bought this multi channel radio as a backup information source if we should have a major weather event in our area. We live in a rather isolated area so this gives us some peace of mind. Have stored it with our emergency/bug out supplies. Just another form of insurance. Radio appears well constructed and the design is good. It is not an expensive multi band radio but is well built enough for me to trust its construction should we ever need to depend on it. We are happy with our purchase and would recommend it for the purpose for which it was designed. Only minor suggestion is that the print lettering embossed into the plastic be bolder, larger and easier to read. This lettering identifies the various inputs under the radios back rubber cover and inside the battery compartment.

As fires have burned our city for the past two weeks, I finally decided to get serious about emergency supplies. This little light, radio, charging station is great! Not very big, but has lots of functions. I'm amazed at well the radio works. It picks up stations from all over my area and beyond. The hand crank would have been very useful for those in this area who lost power and couldn't get information from the local radio station or couldn't charge their phones. With this little gizmo, I can even charge my phone by using the crank for just a couple of minutes. What a great lifeline if needed. I'd recommend this product highly.

This product is perfect for emergency situations. It has a light rubberized finished that makes it easy to grip in the rain and damp environments. The size is handy and pack-able, and has a wide variety of useful features. As stated it can be charged 5 different ways and with that it can also usb charge other devices with that power source. Reception is good outdoors for short wave reception in both bands ( all dependent on environment radio noise sources in the area ), the am/fm/ weather radio works well inside and out. Lights are low draw leds and of good strength, don't forget the reading / work lamp under the solar charger. It is a good value with many useful features that are perfect in an emergency or survival situation, every family should have one...
