It holds the Rock Band 3 keyboard just fine and does a good job at keeping it from sliding around. The stand has a decent range of height positions to choose from so you won't get nearly as many cramps than if you were to play with the keyboard on your lap. The frame seems sturdy and doesn't wobble too much.
My only complaint is that it doesn't fold at all. If you want to put it away, you have to either disassemble it or deal with it's bulkiness.
It should fit keyboards of similar dimensions if you're looking for a cheap-ish stand.

I purchased this stand to use with my M-Audio Axiom 25 midi keyboard. This stand is way more solid then I expected. It is made to hold a cheap plastic "toy" but it's overbuilt (in a good way) for it's purpose. After bending the middle tab flat it holds my Axiom quite well. It certainly works well enough for a home user/studio space.
I'm very happy with the gamble I took buying this, and would recommend it for anyone wanting an inexpensive but very well built stand for a 25 Key.
If you plan on getting "aggressive" your keys I would highly recommend putting some industrial velcro on the arms of this stand and on the bottom of your keyboard. With that addition, I would think this would make a small stable stand for gigging.

Some assembly required.
All pieces of the stand are made out of some sort of rigid steel material which not only makes it look nice, but they all hold in place nicely. The official MadCatz Rockband keyboard peripheral rests upon the structure securely in balance, and, at its highest extension, I can comfortably stand and play. Much better than attempting to play keyboard on my lap or forcibly on a tabletop. Recommended for Rock Band keys player looking for another option to his playstyle.
I haven't tested the stand with other keyboards, but any flat object that is wider than the keyboard should fit fine.

Midi Keyboard stand

I actually bought this as a midi controller stand for my Oxygen 8v2 25 note keyboard. I would have believed that this stand was built FOR it. Fit perfectly, very secure. However, once assembled, the screws on the bottom cause the stand to be a little unstable. Nothing a small piece of wood, folded paper, or foam can't fix though. Solid construction.
