Convenient size packages to allow for one batch, while not allowing a whole box to stand open for weeks. Delicious. We make them with Milk and egg but directions say to mix with water. This brand is impossible to find in stores so we are grateful Amazon carries it.
Makes fast & fantastic pancakes. Yum

Love this waffle mix! Don't love the soy flour though...

First of all, this waffle mix tastes excellent. My wife and I are waffle fanatics. We really like pancakes but we LOVE waffles. We also love Mrs. Butterworth's syrup above all others. So when I saw the reviews for this mix, ordering was a no-brainer. I finally busted it out yesterday and made up a batch to try them out. As mentioned, they tasted great... but there were a couple of things I thought were worth mentioning...
First of all, this is a "complete" mix so if you are making pancakes, you just need the mix and water. If you are (like us) making waffles, you will need a tablespoon of cooking oil. No biggie. Also, the back of the package says this will make 6-7 waffles, but it only made 2 belgian waffles. Also not a biggie. The bigger issue for me is that this mix uses soy flour along with the wheat flour. My body doesn't tolerate soy products very well and later in the evening my stomach started rumbling. I couldn't figure out what would have caused it but the waffles were the only big change to the normal daily routine/diet, so I checked out the ingredients and saw the soy flour. Bingo.
Now this isn't a huge deal and I will still use the rest of the mix, but I will check ingredients more carefully next time. I also wanted to give anyone else who has this same sensitivity a heads up about the soy flour in this mix. If that doesn't bother you, then again... this mix tastes wonderful. In our belgian waffle maker, they come out very soft and fluffy, even on the highest setting. But the taste is excellent.
Happy waffling!
