Nice little trowel

A foot long, half handle and half blade, three inches wide. One-piece cast aluminum alloy with a thick plastic handle over a metal shaft. Comfortable to hold and not too heavy. The point was kind of blunt, but two minutes with a disc sander took care of that. My only concern is how well the metal will hold up to prying rocks and such. Ideal for potting. Maybe pushing it with serious digging, but that's what dynamite is for.

Came with a tag on it saying it contained lead and other unnamed things that could cause cancer and interfere with reproductive health. Seems like this information (especially the lead) should be disclosed in the listing on Amazon. Tag says to "wash hands after using", but no idea if this is sufficient to prevent exposure. And what if I were using it to plant fruits/veggies - wouldn't want to inadvertently be adding lead to the soil. Toxins should be disclosed so I would've known before I bought and made a decision accordingly.

I have many Fiskars products and I have been pleased with each one. I expect this purchase to be the same. I'm tired of inexpensive trowels where the handles break off from the metal part. This one is so sturdy and I haven't had any problems yet with it. Due to other reviews having a breaking problem, I will definitely update this review if that happens. This trowel is comfortable and was a great price!
