If Apple made a coffee machine, this would be it. Great style, quality, design and function
APC Reviews✓ Verified Purchase•September 7, 2023
The Nespresso C60 Pixie was an Xmas gift, and I couldn't be happier with it. For one thing, as Nespresso users will gladly admit, Nespresso is sort of the Apple Computer of single shot pod coffee makers. Nespresso works hard to keep its image upscale, cool and classy -- the ads they run in Europe exude Euro lux. That said, the machine backs up the image, with a high quality feel and excellent design.
The system is tiny, compared to a hulking Keurig machine, and the warm up is almost instantaneous. Hit the on button and thirty seconds later you're brewing an espresso, lungo, cappuccino, making a latte or cafe Americano. The disposal of the used cartridge into a holding container is a handy feature. The rear mounted water reservoir is easy to fill in place or remove to refill if you leave room around the machine to do so.
Although some people have complained about it, I found the flip up drip tray to be brilliant, and it easily accommodates big latte cups, then drops back down when the cup is removed. Of course, you have to buy the Nespresso coffee cartridges to make your coffee, and a cup of Nespresso will set you back about three to four times the cost of what a cup of coffee made with a French press or drip maker with ground coffee would. It's a little like buying into the inkjet printer and inkjet printer ink cartridge bargain, another variation on the cheap razor and not so cheap razor blades deal. But for those who value the espresso like taste of Nespresso coffee output, and don't mind the trade off of cost to convenience, the Nespresso C60 Pixie is a winner. It is fast, looks great, and the coffee sure is good and tasty. RECOMMENDED.

Best Original line machine. Made in Switzerland. Still going strong after 567 days.

I first tried a Nespresso Pixie coffee maker when I stayed in the Marriott Miyako hotel in Osaka, the tallest building in Japan, located next to Tennoji station. The pods provided in my room were the Ristretto; I found this out later. They tasted so good that I asked the hotel staff for more pods several times as I spent the morning sitting in my room just drinking coffee and enjoying the view. I ordered a Nespresso Pixie machine before checking out of the hotel, and it was waiting for me when I got home. Since then I have tried many of Nespresso's Original line of coffee pods. Most are good, a few are great (i.e., worth the premium over the $0.70 ~ $0.75 pods), and the rest are good but definitely not worth the premium over the $0.70 ~ $0.75 pods. For those who complain that this machine is too noisy, what do you expect? It is rated for 19 bars, that is almost 19 times atmospheric pressure, which is generated by a mechanism that fits in something so small. The machine is still going strong after 567 days. This model has been discontinued and is no longer sold by Amazon itself, but I just bought the Breville Titan model (linked below), which looks identical (except for the word Breville printed in white under the two coffee shot buttons) and is also made in Switzerland.

A powerful little machine, with a very small footprint.

I have gone thru / tried quite a few Espresso & Coffee machines, from cheap to expensive. I was a bit skeptical, since this is on the inexpensive side. I needed something small for a tiny guest kitchen area. Was gonna get a Kuerig, but they are just so large! I have to tell you I am impressed with this small footprint machine. Chosen due to size and overall positive reviews, I now see why all the favorable reviews. Makes regular and Lungo espresso servings. Want regular coffee/Americano, just add some hot water. I measure the temp of the water coming out at 190 deg. Perfect. An amazing variety of coffee pods available at less than $1.00 per serving. For regular drip pots of coffee we have settled on the Technivorm MochaMaster which is possibly the best drip maker I've owned. I had a horrible Starbucks 600 which made good espresso, WHEN IT WORKED. Starbucks replaced 3 of theses 600 machines for me, before I threw the last one in the trash to buy the Nespresso Pixie Titan. Combine a Technivorm with one of these little jobs and you have it covered.
I love Starbucks coffee, but my only regret is that I didn't throw out the Starbucks 600 sooner.

No more waiting in long lines at cafes where pouty "coffeeiaticians" with pierced noses and tattoo'ed eyebrows take their time y

Day one and I cannot be more impressed. I'm a coffee fanatic and this is coffee heaven. No more waiting in long lines at cafes where pouty "coffeeiaticians" with pierced noses and tattoo'ed eyebrows take their time yawning for 15 minutes between each customer until it's your turn for them to glare at you in disgust because you've ruined their day just because you wanted a cup of coffee.
With the Nespresso Pixie Maker, I can make my own coffee in less than 30 seconds in the quiet of my own peace away from such condescending negativity.
Everything about Nespresso is heaven. The quality and variety of flavors the ease of purchasing, and the most dapper look about them, that lime panel is like a highlighter that assures me I'll be wide awake in just moments.
If you like strong flavored coffee that also can wake you up, and that smell of roasted coffee bean in your cup you will not find a more viable product than this. And it is worth every penny.
The only worry is that, god forbid, it breaks. I've only had this for a day, so if there's an update, you'll be reading it. I naturally have a tendency of breaking things and so far, it seems very user friendly and durable. It's so pretty, I take extra cautions not to do anything stupid like accidentally throw it out of my window or drop it on the floor.
Of all the coffee machines in my life, this is the first one that I have fallen in love with.

Nespresso or high end $500-$600 expresso machine

I bought this for my wife for her birthday! I was looking to spend the money for a high end $500-$600 expresso machine. My wife parents has one and every time we go over, we always have a cup or two. We end up asking about how much they cost, where they bought it ect. For the information we got from her parents, the machine broke down a couple times and had to send it to get fixed. Which cost between $100-$200 depending what the problem was.
After looking around a couple days looking at reviews, It was between this machine and nespresso vertuoline. I realized that the vertuoline took different capsules. A bit more expensive for the machine and each capsule. The vertuoline made cups of coffee and shots of expressos. The pixie just makes expresso depending if you have the froth maker bundle.
In conclusion, have a coffee machine already and we just wanted to make expresso, didn't need to spend more for the vertuoline and high end expresso machine, when in the long run have to get it fixed all the time, when I can use the money on getting a nespresso pixie machine. I can buy 5 of them if they ever broke instead of the high end machine. I also wanted to stick with the original line capsules. Simple
When I got the item, i was a bit surprised how small it was. I hooked it up and popped a capsule in and tried it out! Let me tell you! This powerful small machine is amazing! I would have to say it's way better tasting then these $500-$600 expresso machines
