For use on a CS Trail Boss, it does fit after working the leather with oil. Tight fit, I have not found a cover that's a great fit. this is the closest, for the price I really can't complain. I spent a few hours working the cover. In today's world of quick to me, send it back if it not right.I'm sure many would not have kept this cover. Worked out just fine!

Made out of good heavy leather. Snap seems to be good. Rivets ok. Had to remove the first rivet (next to the handle) and replaced it with para cord so the boys axe would fit. But a real good scabbard for the price.

I ordered this based on the size descriptions in the reviews and after reading all of the questions posed to prior purchasers. While my axe/hatchet head matched exactly the measurements suggested in a response to a sizing question, the cover was so large (and missing the rivet closest to the handle) my axe simply slid out of it. Because I still needed the cover, I took it to a cobbler who charged me way too much to cut it down and re-rivet it (I did also have him add some internal leather to prevent the snap and side rivets from rusting the head)
Pretty good sheath for the price. Fits campers axes well.

Pretty nice sheath for the price. Was a little small for the axes I was hoping to wedge into it, but will fit a 2 1/2 pounder nicely. I wish Nupla would make a slightly larger one for 3.5-5# axe ranges.
Two drawbacks...first...the stitching on the sheath is purely decorative. It's only sewn through one side. Secondly...the rivets are steel, not brass as they should be. Honestly, change those two minor things, charge $2 more and people will still be happy.
Make a larger one and you'll sell a bunch more. Offer some other sizes
