I have taken BioSil since 2012 (6 yrs) on the advice of my doctor. It has helped my osteoporosis since I had to stop fosomax that I had been taking for15 yrs. Repeated bone density scans have shown no loss of bone, and my doctor says that is success since my osteoporosis is severe. I still have osteopenia in my hips, but so far it hasn't progressed. I also lift heavy weights and do yoga, eat European grass fed cheeses, grass fed meats, and drink raw milk. Google vit K2 if you have heart disease or osteoporosis.
A bonus is the nail growth. I've always had thick hair, and tons of wrinkles, so I haven't seen improvement in those areas, but my nails need to be filed down all the time.

I have been using Biosil for a few years now. I don't know why my hair keeps falling out. It could be stress, diet, hormonal - who knows. All I know is that I wait way too long to start Biosil and I stop using it when I really shouldn't. The stress of losing clumps of hair every other day when I comb my washed hair (see photo) is much worse then paying to stay on it.

This time I tried the liquid. Most people said it tasted really bad. I bought it anyway because it was a 2 month supply for the same price as a one month supply of the capsules. I mix 5 drops in with my daily shot of apple cider vinegar and water and I can't taste it at all. Others say they add it to juice.

I really expected it to take a few weeks to work since my hair was falling out so rapidly. Not this time, I don't know if the liquid version has quicker absorption or what, but within a few days I could feel resistance when I combed. Meaning it took more to pull the hair out.

I am writing this now because it has only been a week and my comb was practically empty after my shower.

I was really concerned about losing my hair. I've always had a full head, now it's very thin... and I have to keep cutting it to take off the deadness. But now I'm really optimistic that it will grow back soon. It has before. My biggest problem is that I stop using this product. If you don't know why your hair is falling out, then don't stop until you fix that problem.. I only wish someone reminded me of this as well.

I've been using Biosil for at least the last 6 years. I would say that it works very well for me. If I consistently miss any dosages I feel the difference in my hair quality and growth. Nails and hair grow quickly and nicely. The only con like many would say is the nasty taste and smell it has but that is easily overcome by using it with juice over water. Over the years, they have drastically improved the formula in terms of its odor and taste as when I first bought this years ago, it was almost unbearable! It's still there but much less so. I'll keep purchasing as long as the price stays reasonable and competitive!

I purchased the BioSil liquid to assist with improving collagen in my skin, hair regrowth, and bone stability. I lost a great deal of hair in the last year due to vitamin deficiencies. I've also noticed that it's created more wrinkles around my eyes. While researching ways to regrow my hair, I continued to come across blogs on BioSil. Then I listened to videos on YouTube regarding it being statistically proven to help with my areas of concern. The main difference between taking collagen and BioSil is that BioSil has silica. BioSil doesn't contain Collagen, it helps the body to naturally create Collagen.
Pros:
*easy to take twice a day, mixed with juice
*I believe the liquid version is most helpful for my digestive issues
*the liquid version was less expensive for a trial run
*no observed negative side effects or allergies
* after 2-3 days of taking it, I noticed my scalp was itching. Unclear if this was indicating new growth.
* I definitely noticed a significant difference in the softness of my skin, after a few days of use.
* I'm finding it's most effective while I sleep, as that is when the body heals.
* I am also finding that it helps me sleep better and decreases inflammation caused by autoimmune disease.
Cons:
* yes, it tastes poorly if not taken as directed. But it clearly states to mix it into a small cup of juice.
*I mix mine with orange juice and the taste is not noticeable.
* I can also take it without juice but it is quite bitter.
* obviously with all skin and health care regimes, the results will likely take months. I plan on keeping this updated every few months.
Summary- I gave this 5 stars because I am pleasantly surprised with all of the benefits of this product. I am especially excited that it seems to be helping my autoimmune disease. I would recommend this for anyone who is experiencing early signs of aging, hair loss, and inflammation. It seems especially helpful for those with vitamin deficiencies, poor absorption issues, high levels of stress, and insomnia. I highly suspect that it also helps with relaxation and sleep. I am extremely excited to have found this product and hope to have positive before and after photos! I love that it is also well researched.
Update: After a month of using the liquid form of BioSil I have decided to try the pill form. I was quite impressed with the liquid form. It did last an entire month and I took it twice a day. I noticed a significant difference in the quality of my skin, hair, and nails. I also noticed that it significantly assisted with inflammation and pain. I definitely want to continue using it. I am just going to try the pill form to see if there is any difference in the quality. To be fair, I became lazy at the end of the month and didn't feel like mixing it with juice. Thus I would drop it directly into my mouth and follow up with water. It does not taste well. But that is because I was being lazy!
