this are NOT the correct parts for WTW4800BQ1. You need part 285809 which has a short cam. This kit came up for this model every time I entered my model number. Fortunately, I also ordered a separate short cam after reading some reviews which said these parts didn't fit and we did manage to fix our washer with the short cam. Also fortunately, the wrong kit and overnight shipping was cheap!!

10 minutes to replace the cam, dogs, and o-ring. You'll need a socket wrench with a looooong extension. I had to use two extensions together to reach the nut. Undo the nut, pull out the whole agitator. the rest just pulls apart. The little black rubber washer....I'm not sure what that's for because there was no place for it in my washer. Must be for other models.
One minor thing...the instructions say to apply thrust washer grease to the new thrust washer. They dont include any of that in the kit. Who has thrust washer grease laying around their house? They should include a little tube of it. I just skipped it.

Great price and and easy to install! It comes with instructions, but pay attention to how the pieces go together when you remove the old ones.
This part fits the Kenmore Estate washer, and is a better price than ordering from Sears parts direct.

I only needed the small white ring part of this kit but could only find it in this particular kit with all the parts. I decided to use this kit to replace all the parts even though only the small white piece was broken. I am lucky that I didn't need the big white part because it was not the right size for my machine. I even entered my model number at the top to make sure it was the right part for my machine and it said it was. The piece I needed from this kit, however, fit just fine in my washer and got it back up and running.

This is NOT a genuine Whirlpool part even though it is advertised as a "Whirlpool 285811". It doesn't have the "FSP" logo that the genuine parts have. As such, there were issues. The thrust washer was a little too thick, such that the upper and lower parts of the agitator bound together once I tightened the nut. I had to reuse the old one. Also, the O-ring for the top cap is too thick, which prevented me from installing the top cap, no matter how much soap I put on it to try and get it to slip back on. Again, I had to reuse the old O-ring. So, the only parts that I actually needed to replace that I could use were the agitator dogs themselves. I bought the whole kit so I could do a more thorough rebuild, but in hindsight I should have only bought the agitator dogs. The machine is working again, but if the other parts had actually been bad and could not be reused, I would have been screwed. At least the price was right and it was very promptly shipped, which is why it got two stars instead of only one. If this happens again, I would only buy the agitator dogs, which is probably the only thing that actually really needs to be replaced.
